@Draco It's been 4 days working days. We receive a lot of mail here to go through, and I am behind on it, but a week or more is not unusual. You should see it marked as processing before the end of the week. We also backdate it to the day it was delivered so there is no loss of turnaround time. |

@Draco @Jake_Fleming I had an order delivered/signed for on the 28th and it isn't marked on my dashboard either, so you're in good company.

@Paint_Monk @Lonestar got my 'your books have shipped' email for my end of May order, so things are speeding up. Orders received about six weeks apart will be delivered a week apart.

So I'm guessing my book dropped off at a Con in June for pressing should have at least shown up on my dashboard by now???

Have I told you about the time I dropped off 3,000 comics at SDCC? | Scifinator private msg quote post Address this user
@Forbush @xbonk @Paint_Monk @BrandonM317 @Draco I know how you all feel as I am in the same boat with you with even bigger issues that I am not going to elaborate on. Please do not take my next comments as justification or anything like that. As some of you know I had utilized CGC in past years (to a much more limited degree and was much more dissatisfied with their so call customer service to an even greater degree) and have thus finally started using CBCS with a small test run in January and subsequent tests and then fully committed with my July SDCC drop off for both grade only along with Press & Grade submissions. With each and every submission I have seen corresponding patterns with status updates (or lack there of) right up to everything being updated only when shipped. I actually received one shipment before it was even marked as shipped. I can definitively say each submission has improved in some way or another especially with TAT. Obviously, as one can expect, there were and are growing pains with the move and such. Further, lets face it, the product that @SteveRicketts & crew produces is top notch (I wish I had taken a before picture of my Michael Golden signed Marvel Fanfare #1 that had a complete horizontal fold across the top, which is now a solid 9.6). I know I have emotional attachment to a great many of my comics as is the case with my MF1 that Golden signed for me when I still pre-adult in 1982. I am sure some or maybe all of you do also. Perhaps it is a financial attachment. Maybe both. In any case, it makes not knowing the exact status very difficult. But, as long as they keep improving while maintaining a superior product I, myself, am cutting them some slack. Having worked in the various service aspects of the business world, I have all too often seen problems that arise from both expansion and merger/acquisition. Some of this may be going on here. Again, I would rather they focus on the quality of the Pressing process than to rush it so they can instead focus on proper updates. Obviously we'd like both. I suspect that with patience and constructive feedback, our remaining areas of concern and frustration will be addressed and improved upon. As I mentioned I gave up on CGC. What I didn't mention is that i also have had vintage toys graded. Currently, I have an invoice at CAS that was submitted several months ago and it's status is still "not graded", and they are typically the faster of the two major graders. Whether we are talking CGC/CBCS or AFA/CAS, status updates seem to universally be of issue. At least with CBCS, the quality of the product is superior to its competitors. I am not saying we shouldn't expect proper and timely updates. Frankly, that is an important part of good customer service. Just saying, I feel you, and I believe they (CBCS) feel you and are working towards continued improvement. Change doesn't happen overnight, but in the 9 months since I have been using CBCS, I am seeing continued improvement. I would love to have perfection, but improvement towards such is keeping me encouraged. I hope to someday only be concerned that nobody is available to receive my FedEx package from CBCS. Ok, I shall step off my soapbox, stop pontificating, and dare i say..."nuff said". RJ |

I'd just like to have some confirmation they actually have it, after drop off at Con on June 15th. My other orders at least showed up on the dashboard. I'm OK with it taking awhile. |

@Forbush - I hear you and trust me when I say I know exactly what you are talking about. It is not my place to elaborate, but in light of my correspondence with CBCS I do have the sense that they do care and things will start getting better soon. Never got the feeling from the other guys that they cared. Whether tracking will get better in a week, a month, or by year end...I don't know, but suspect that will sooner rather than later.

Yet I received no email like yours stating that, and there’s no reflection of that on my dashboard. Still just “Received” and I’m at 18 weeks since receipt. I sent a follow up question via email reply and never heard anything back. |

@BrandonM317 Sounds to me like Customer Service may have given you incorrect information as books go into the grading queue (currently about 5-6 weeks, I believe) after pressing (which I believe was at about 16 weeks at the time you're describing) so your books still being "received" at this point isn't unexpected.

Maybe. And we might send it back to you at some point.” Lol. Standard press and fast pass grade from the first week of May... hopefully I’ll get it back by October. |

@BrandonM317 Like I have said, for this past year, you just can't rely on what you see in the Status section. Though it has gotten better and more accurate of late with the grade only submissions, the press submissions status is still playing catchup. Again, I suspect it is going to get better fairly soon.

My 3 books were received June 21st for VSP, Brunner x2 and Kirby so fingers crossed there. Therefore VSP 2 weeks, pressing 12 weeks and grading and encapsulation 6 weeks, which has just been confirmed by customer service, I'm not expecting my books until at least 20th November Just wish the dashboard could be updated to acknowledge VSP pass or fail after the first two weeks. |

It took 5 months to have my books pressed and graded... The only problem is they were delivered today without the outer plastic shell... I called and customer service couldn't pull up my account. I was then transferred to someone else who was able to pull up my account but couldn't find my invoice and had no idea what I was talking about. So I sent an email, with photos.... Has anyone else had books come back without the plastic shell? Only the inner sealed plastic sheath? |

So when does the timer start?? I handed my books off on June 9th but my invoice says July 5th!!! Do I have to tack on the additional 4 week discrepancy to my TAT. Was using CBCS Canada - maybe this is a reason for the difference?? Was expecting 10-14 weeks pressing and 6 weeks grading so still like 4 or 5 weeks to go from June date?? |

@KatKomics I am no expert, and those more experienced or CBCS staff can certainly correct me, but my thinking is to start when your shipping tracker reflects shipment delivered or a week from turn in at a Con, plus 10 - 14 weeks for press (depending on what month submitted), plus 1 week to ship from FL to TX for Grading after press, plus 4-6 weeks for grade (though i have seen grade down to 1 1/2 weeks in the past couple of months. Basically 16 to 22 weeks for Press & Grade if turned in at a Con depending on month. Right now for new Press & Grade submissions, I am guessing 16-20 weeks.

@Scifinator I should also note that I didn’t get an email indicating that the books had entered grading, just that they were completed. I’m not sure if this was a unique hiccup or if the system for some reason skips “Grading” when pressing is involved
