Except that I used the complimentary fast track from my membership renewal this year for the grading so by that math it would be due if you’re saying 10 weeks on pressing. I’m hoping to see something, ANYTHING, as an update on my dashboard eventually.

How can you tell if books were or will be pressed if the hyperlinked information on the dashboard is not updated with information about screening to be potentially pressed or for pressing itself?

Please forgive my confusion. Any information would be appreciated as I am relatively new to comic grading and comic pressing through CBCS. Please enlighten me based on your experience. Thank you.

I//we could answer your question better if we knew the time frames involved.

IF you sent the books in just recently - a week or three - then I'd say everything is normal. CBCS has charged your credit/debit card for the services they are CERTAIN they will be providing. Screening for pressing and grading. You'll be charged for pressing later ONLY IF and for the books that pass the pressing screening.

If you sent the books in a couple of months ago, it sounds like your books were determined not to be good pressing candidates.

My best guess is the first scenario is most likely

I'm happy for all of you experiencing great turnaround times, but seeing books submitted weeks ago being shipped back already quite frankly ticks me off. In fairness, many of the books being shipped so quickly apparently don't include pressing.

Sept. 1st will mark 16 weeks from my submission on June 1st and I was told last week the books are still in pressing. I'm just hoping I experience the "fast turnaround" once the pressing slog is over.

It's really discouraging to read that people who submitted a month before I did still are hearing nothing either.

@Paint_Monk I don't think the people I've seen commenting are using pressing. I know for sure that some aren't. My books were received for pressing April 17, so you can keep an eye on my updates for an idea of where you're at.

Again guys I have 6 comics still processing that I've been assured are at Pressing that were Received April 15 and still haven't seen any movement. Hopefully this gives you better timeframes. Remember good things come to those who wait!

Question for the group / moderators. I have the attached Amazing spider-man 50 that I'm bringing in on Thursday for authentication on the Stan Lee signature. My question is should this be press? It's not in great shape cover is still attached, but I don't know if pressing it would help or hurt it? I don't really care what grade it comes back with I just want to preserve it. Please advise? Thanks

I would say pressing would do more harm than good.

CBCS also offers a pre-screen option that will tell you if your comic book is a good candidate for pressing. However, it adds more time and cost to your order and in this case it’s probably unnecessary.

Steve or someone at CBCS would have to chime in to say for sure, but I'm pretty sure they'll reject pressing your book if pressing would harm it, even without screening. The screening is to see if it's a good candidate to go up in grade, not necessarily if it's a good idea on any other front.

@SteveRicketts Any chance you can give us an update on pressing TAT? When were books submitted that you are currently pressing? Just looking for some general info to gauge my submission that is in process. Thanks in advance.

Submitted 10 books at Vegas Con, one for screen press. Already have the 9 back, but the one sent for pressing hasn't shown up on the dashboard at all. Normal?

I’m at 15 weeks tomorrow since submission. Hopefully I’ll see some updates soon. I think “Processing” has become burned into my display at this point lol.

Heck, I'll be at 16 weeks on Sept. 4 and my order still shows "submitted" and my card hasn't been charged.

You're in better shape than me. But if I get a few 9.6s out of the wait, it's worth it.

My credit card just got billed, so I think I finally finished press screen and have some books being pressed. I can't tell from the dashboard/invoice if it's my April order or my May order though. I emailed customer service so hopefully they can tell me.

Are your orders still showing "submitted" in the dashboard? I'm told my books are in pressing yet I've not been charged net nor has the panel (or invoice) been updated to "processing."

Per some exchanges with CBCS US customer service, I'm giving it until the first week of September before I get too worried.

So what happens if I sent a book for press/grading to the Texas location? This is my first time and I sent all my books in one package 🤷‍♂️

@Paint_Monk My earlier order, which I think should be in pressing by now, just says 'received' on the dash and 'billing' on the invoice. My other order from ~6 weeks later also says 'received' on the dash and two of the tiers on the invoice say 'received' while one says 'pressing'.

same situation here. my order from June 7th should be in pressing by now but only says 'received' on the dash and 'billing' on the invoice - was billed long ago (happy about that actually) I hope for end of September??? Not sure what type of delay I will have with using the CBCS Canada route but for $$ savings I will gladly tolerate it

I guess I just continue to wait. Nothing but "submitted" on the dash and no charge to my credit card. It's been since June 1st, submitted at a con. I'm guessing the hang up is pressing. I'll let it ride until after Labor Day before I begin messaging US customer service AGAIN.

@Sonny_1313 it will likely add a week or two to your order. My understanding is that there is a weekly shipment which goes back and forth between TX & Fl.
