Mine were submitted June 1st at Lost Nation and I too am waiting - relatively patiently - for now. I keep telling myself that good things come to those who wait...

I submitted a book for pressing at FanExpo Dallas and the book was processed on 5/10. I used one of the complimentary Fast Passes from my membership enrollment to speed the process up after it went through standard pressing. If a book was submitted to pressing around 5/10 (9 weeks ago), when should I bee looking for it to move to fast pass grading?

My regular submissions were received by CBCS on May 31st, but my order for comics to be pressed weren't received until June 25th. All were shipped out on the same day. I had hopes that they had been pressed and shipped back for grading, as my unpressed books were done in just under 3 weeks (which is amazing). However, these posts tell a much different story. Could the nearly 4 week delay have been due to a large volume of books to be pressed ahead of mine?

Have I told you about the time I dropped off 3,000 comics at SDCC? | Scifinator private msg quote post Address this user
@SteveRicketts I have an inquiry for you and/or your team. I have a few Incredible Hulk 393 and on the back cover (more of the cardboard stock due to front foil cover) there appears to be a uniform manufacturing flaw. Please see right below the glare for the wrinkle. As there is no color break, would your pressing genius work on this comic? Thanks much for your time and guidance. |

FYI, My books were submitted at ECCC marked received April 1st (so 15 weeks) and have not started progressing through the process yet. Based off the posts here, I think I will see some movement in the next week or two.

Fast Press is legit! I sent 5 books received 6/13. I also sent them directly to FL. They are in labels already! might get'em this week but definitely next week. Wow CBCS turned the ship around rather fast and it's maintaining even with all the Con's going on. Finally Beckett is paying off! I remember when things were at their worse it took 8 months to get my order of 20-30 books with only 6 or 7 getting presses. FYI this wasn't submitted at a Con. |

I submitted books at Heroes Con and just checked my dashboard and they have gone to grading. Much quicker than I expected. I still have a few that are being pressed, hopefully it will not be to much longer for those.

No pressing or fast pass on the ones that have gone to grading. The ones that I am waiting on are getting pressed with no fast pass. I submitted books for pressing back in January and didn't get those back until June. So about 6 months with press. I think that the press time is running around 12 to 16 weeks currently.

I selected press screening (and pressing) for my five books. Today, I received an e-mail notifying me that the books are being held in a vault until they "enter the grading process", but nothing about pressing or screening to see if pressing is appropriate. I was also charged for the grading & press screening, but not pressing. How can you tell if books were or will be pressed if the hyperlinked information on the dashboard is not updated with information about screening to be potentially pressed or for pressing itself? Please forgive my confusion. Any information would be appreciated as I am relatively new to comic grading and comic pressing through CBCS. Please enlighten me based on your experience. Thank you. |

@AaronDodd My last order sat at processing/submitted and then whipped through to shipped in about 2 or 3 days and was on track for the stated TAT at the time plus 10 weeks for pressing. If you are at 15 I wouldn't worry too much, I would expect in a week or so for some movement. Their system really doesn't update each change in status. Seems like grading TAT is under control...would be sweet to reduce the pressing line-up!!! |

Oh I'm good, I was only letting you know the TAT's. I'm in no hurry to get mine back. I'd rather have them take longer than be rushed thru.

@BrandonM317 i would expect 10 weels pressing and 5 weeks grading. If you are at 12 weeks i would guess another 3 at least!! I dropped of 11 books early June so....mid September is looking promising?? |

@KatKomics fingers crossed. I have press screen on the order but haven't been billed for any pressing, so if it's further ahead than the dash says it means billing is behind. I would be shocked if billing is behind. Even with the quick grading times I don't expect to see my books until sometime in September.

IF you sent the books in just recently - a week or three - then I'd say everything is normal. CBCS has charged your credit/debit card for the services they are CERTAIN they will be providing. Screening for pressing and grading. You'll be charged for pressing later ONLY IF and for the books that pass the pressing screening. If you sent the books in a couple of months ago, it sounds like your books were determined not to be good pressing candidates. My best guess is the first scenario is most likely |

I'm happy for all of you experiencing great turnaround times, but seeing books submitted weeks ago being shipped back already quite frankly ticks me off. In fairness, many of the books being shipped so quickly apparently don't include pressing. Sept. 1st will mark 16 weeks from my submission on June 1st and I was told last week the books are still in pressing. I'm just hoping I experience the "fast turnaround" once the pressing slog is over. It's really discouraging to read that people who submitted a month before I did still are hearing nothing either. |

@Paint_Monk I don't think the people I've seen commenting are using pressing. I know for sure that some aren't. My books were received for pressing April 17, so you can keep an eye on my updates for an idea of where you're at.
