Another way to look at GUI =

Those types of software that have "point and click" functions on fields and/or "submit" buttons.

*shrugs*

It is sort of hard to explain without visuals...

I have 2 books that were received by CBCS on December 13, 2017. I sent them for pressing and grading. (Invoice
17-3F22E57) Over 6 MONTHS later...still nothing and it just says “Received.” Absolutely ridiculous!!

@HammitChris your order is pressed. It should be expedited through the rest of the process as soon as it hits the grading room. I would expect it to be within the next two weeks.

Thank you for the update. I haven’t had any luck getting a hold of customer service.

I can get some answers with the limited things I can see in my portion of the system, but I can give you answers on pressing for sure.

For 2 books and 6 months press & graded that seems a bit slow.

Perhaps CBCS would be interested in hiring some help in the Pressing department to expedite service delays

I guess some people are complaining about the TATs, but I think it's more the disconnect between published/promised TATs and actual TATs. I have an order in from a spring convention that should be finished pressing this week or next, and that's fine with me, but the problem is that I don't think it will be moving on to grading next week.

Honestly ? Lol Steve is doing the best he can right now he's only one guy until he can get some ppl trained up. If you blind send books in not expecting a 6-7 months turn around you should reaearch whats been going in since the storm pretty much , everything is behind , fast track 2 day whatever isn't what it says it is ... o and if we're allowed to advertise presseing options in the cbcs pressing thread lemme know and I'll begin as well

If you pay for a specific service then you should be provided that service. Otherwise you are failing your customer and yourself. Plain and simple.

But that’s just it, we are past the 25 week TAT estimate, and the 25 weeks should have been at the latest. Don’t lecture me about how I need to do research on a service before I purchase it when apparently you need to research customer service and how business competition works. When there is a mishap, you try to keep the customers’ business....not just be like “oh well, deal with it.” That’s not a good business strategy.

Never said it was a good business strategy , just saying how it is , it's been the same story since last summer. It's why 99% of my clients choose the other guys now unless it's a yellow label sub or red label vsp .

@SteveRicketts Hypothetical question as this comic has me wondering. It's a double cover, but being a Giant Size, the outer cover isn't attached by glue.

How would CBCS treat this if subbed for a press/grade?
And the two would still be pressed together, correct?

They're graded and encapsulated like normal. Both covers can be pressed without a problem.

Thanks, Steve. I have two or three DC square-bound comics with double (unattached) covers and was also wondering if they would be graded and encapsulated the same as double covered books with staples.

Thank you- I wasn't sure if it would be treated as "detached" in any way.

Nope. That's how they are produced.
