Bowl Games. Mostly as background that I check in on from time to time. I just enjoy the idea of fans traveling to some remote neutral location to see one last bonus game before their season shuts down for 8 months.

Mini monster night. Started with Invisible man, now the creature from the black lagoon. Might do Phantom of the Opera if still awake after.

Last night I watched Green Lantern: Beware My Power...the introduction of John Stewart. Pretty good, fairly complex story. So far DC hasn't disappointed me with their animated shows.

yeah they are good. why dc put the same effort they do in story and world building as they do in their animated movies as they do with their live action.

though their animated universe is a little confusing in terms of not every single one is the same universe. right now its the tomorrowverse (movies that are canon to one another after apocalypse war). only man of tomorrow, justice society, long halloween and beware my power (and I guess at least the Constantine part of the house of mystery films) are in the current continuity (super sons, catwoman, and soul of the dragon are not)

Finishing phantom now after work. Couldn’t do it last night. So good though. Claude Raines was a great actor.

Elvis.

Hanks’ accent was horrid.

Movie was entertaining but clearly big liberties with facts, history, etc.

6/10.

Casablanca ... my wife had never seen it and it'd been several years since I'd watched it.

What a great film. And the pacing is just so well done.

Margin Call (second viewing). 8/10. The only “Wall Street” firm that gets things mostly right.

Well, it and American Psycho.

I found this 100% more enjoyable than the first, high-budget theatrical RIPD, which was a serious disappointment.
