@origwolvie - While others have chimed in already, purpose and intent on my posts are as stated; to provide usable and discernible information as to what is being experienced such as how long between different stages, total TAT's, and whether or not notifications were received. I could be wrong but I believe that is the purpose of this thread. If one wants a complaint thread or a complement thread, perhaps one should create such.

Additionally, I do mark in Bold what changed, because many people are interested in movement in the substages. If there is multiple changes in the course of the same day, I tend to and have created edits in that days post. If there is no movement over the course of several days or weeks, I don't post. Simple

Thought I would share so that others waiting on books may determine what is going on. I marked out the order that was cancelled and never sent it. One thing to note, the December 2021 order was back in billing for additional cost for shipping which I've paid.

I still can't figure out what is going on with my second October order. I think it has been incorrectly moved to another group during the recent move to the new facility. I have an additional order in through my local shop from this same time period and it has now gone into grading so hopefully soon.

385 days later, 1 of my 5 grading only orders(10 in each) has hit the grading floor! And it wasn't the oldest order that went in.

I am no longer forgotten.

@tylerindo Real information about time lines of submissions is the whole purpose of the thread.
The information he provides is accurate up to date info for people to see that have books submitted at similar times to see so they have an idea where there own books are in the system. This accurate up to date information being posted is by no means "spamming".

I turned my books in last December on the 17th at C2E2. I paid for signature verification at the con- Jimmy Palmioti and David Mack. Three books paid in full. No pressing, just grading. After an inquiry email, I received a call stating that only one signature was listed. They weren't sure about the other signature. I explained that I paid to have both signatures observed. A guy followed me around, and I paid to have it done. I had to send a picture of my invoice to prove it. Now all is good and it has moved on. Make sure you keep any invoices.
Two days later, I received an email that it was graded. This is faster than I anticipated.

@Scifinator

I mostly lurk here and just wanted to say I really appreciate the context you provide to the turnaround threads with your daily updates.

I do have one question if you will humor me. Your most recent post refers to October 7th. What does "October 7th" mean in that context?

For example, my oldest order is from December 2021. Your post being "October 7th", does that mean I have about month and a half before I see movement? Do I understand that correctly?

Regards to CBCS and to all those who can muster to be patient in this trying time when nerds can't receive their comic book goodies on time.

Your 22-34DE988-MN is graded and now it is time to get the comics into a CBCS case! Your tier has entered the production area of the company and will only be here a short time before it ships out!

25 books (grade only) 7 modern. 18 new.

This order is complete and ready for pick up.
They are going to MCS. 1st order to them. My pal Steve is persistent lol....

So that was absurdly fast on the Turn Around Time.
It was shipped to CBCS on 9.21.22
It was received at CBCS on 9.23.22
"Received" email was sent to me on 9.26.22
And "Completed/Ready For Pick-Up" email was sent to me today 10.4.22

So let me get out my trusty @Scifinator
That's 7 business days from in to out.... WOW........
Eat that CGC....lol....

@beastboy1980 I think you missed this one.... Not sure how or why, I have an idea. Either way.
This happened. NO. It was none of the express tiers. Maybe it was an anomaly... lol.....

I went to the booth and voiced my displeasure with the way they are running things.

The guys working were nice and i said its not your fault but once they turned over there new tiers of grading they tossed all the other orders into limbo.

The booth was quiet .

they could not answer one reason why they were so backed up.

one guy told me that he does not work down there in cbcs he was hired to just work shows.

i said thats bad they have workers working shows and they cant even explain whats going on inside.

cgc was somewhat busy but cbcs booth was quiet as a mouse

i explained to the guy that before the new tiers the times for moderns were about 130 days
he goes i dont think so. i said yes i got 3 orders back before the new ones of this year came in in about 6 months time . i said i was excited to start sending in new orders into cbcs and have orders lined up to come back in about 6 months. one guy knew i was right and was quiet . i said new tiers come and then all of a sudden the webpage springs from 124 days to 224 days same day. i said thats bullshit

My oldest order of modern pre-screens turned one year old on 8/25/2022 - i.e. the date the package was delivered to CBCS, not the date where they officially "Received" it. I emailed CS on 8/25/2022 and asked if they had an ETA for this order. CS responded on 10/7/2022 that the order was in "Heatseal" which I've known for the past three plus months but CS did not provide an ETA.

Fortunately I have new product to sell as orders with the other guys are coming back fast (almost too fast...).

If anyone has followed my status/posts you know that I asked CBCS to cancel all orders that were in a status of "Received" as I have one in "Heatseal" and now one in "Grading". So far they have not acted on my request other than to verify that I want to cancel the orders. The totals are 2,243 books with CBCS of which 1.763 are in "Received" status - I really want those 1,763 books back as well as the majority of the shipping costs that I have already paid.

I'm not upset with myself for the orders I submitted in 2021 but I could kick myself for submitting orders in 2022 when I knew CBCS was in trouble.

It takes me back to 2014 when I was at Heroes-Con in Charlotte chatting with Steve Borock and letting him know how excited I was to have more than one viable choice for comic grading. Back then the CBCS site could not take orders - that changed within a month or two.

Most new businesses fail due to lack of positive cash flow. However the saddest cases are those in which a new business could not manage explosive growth. I understand that Borock's official reason for leaving CBCS was the outstanding opportunity for him at Lone Star Comics. But I have to think that the situation at CBCS helped provide more than just a catalyst for the move.

I'm not sure how CBCS gets out of this mess. Could they implement a moratorium on submitting non-express orders for a six month period? Have a definitive start and end date for the moratorium?

I've been beyond reasonable through this debacle but I want my 1,763 books back - any suggestions on how to proceed?

Good job, I'm sure that ruining someone else's day made you feel like a big man. Must be exciting to beat on the little guys are who completely powerless and just trying to make a living. If you happen to run across a FedEx driver make sure you give em hell about some of the delivery issues people have been mentioning here on the forum.
