Books were signed for at CBCS 15 May.

16 May both submissions were marked on dashboard as "Processing." I also received email notification that all the books in the order with pressing had been "moved into the pressing area."

Will update as they move through the system.

Still no email or tracking on anything. Submission of 4 books with one VSP show as "shipping" on dashboard.
You usually get the tracking number when they move from shipping to completed. That being said my most recent order is now completed and has been shipped out and for the first time I did not receive a tracking number. I got the automated phone call from FedEx so I know they are on the way but have no way of knowing where they are ATM.

@Silversorrow Yeah, I have played this game before. The grades showing up before shipping notification is strange, though.

So, I submitted 2 comics at the end of May - first time submitting anything directly myself, other than sending a book in for a signing event.

My order was submitted on the website on 05/26, for two comic books - one new with signature verification, one modern with just standard grading - both with the express option. I dropped the package off at the post office on 05/27, and USPS tracking shows it delivered just before lunchtime on 06/02. I got the only email I've received about this order on 06/05, stating that it had been received by the receiving department. On the dashboard, it's showing "Shipping" status. The order tracker shows "Invoicing", "Verification & Grading", and "Production & Processing" with their check boxes filled in with blue, while the "Shipping" is no longer greyed out and has the spinning arrow in the check box.

I paid for 2-day return shipping (I'm a fundamentally impatient person, and may be moving in the next couple of months, so I'm trying to get anything I'm having shipped sent quickly). If they ship them Monday and I receive them by Wednesday, that would put it at 8 business days from the books being received by CBCS to them being received back by me, or 6 business days from receiving to actually shipping. That's fairly impressive. I just wish I'd actually gotten more than the 1 email.

Now, the order is showing as completed on my dashboard, both books have grades and grading notes, but no shipping email, and I don't see a pending delivery in my FedEx app. Hmmm...

Submited 10 books in early Feb.(2 copper, 8 modern) Keep seeing marketing mails for "Were still on track with our fastest turn around times yet" and "Money Back Promise" Perhaps I didnt understand turn around times. Is it 30 working days per book?,
Just let me know if there are delays due to facilities or staff, I can understand. Just making sure I didn't fall through the cracks.

4 books VSP submitted last April (2022), and still nothing.... Contacted the Customer Service thru phone, email, and Facebook messenger. Even got a Sales Specialist to look into it for me... All that was said in the last email exchange was that my order been ticketed by CS and no response on the issue lately. I was hoping to get the books back by now before another convention come up...

@cardextreme @rapturestar this isn't normal. You should both create separate threads about your issues. It's too easy for this to get lost in such a long turnaround thread. @cardextreme Even if you added pressing, it's well over the turnaround of 50 business days (30 grading/20 pressing) for your February order.

@rapturestar it sounds like your order could be lost. I would call customer service and hopefully you can get someone on the line or get a return phone call about the issue and worst case scenario a payout up to the amount you insured each book for.

I HOPE they were not lost.... Took me a long time to get Sailor Moon actors on 1 comic, and the other 3 were from ebay auctions (Arrow, Supergirl, and Witchblade) that seem legit to me.

FedEx delivered the 8 books that were sent for pressing and grading today. So 20 business days total. Still don't have a shipping notification or response from customer service on what the tracking number is, but I guess that doesn't matter.

Good turnaround, especially with pressing, and I am happy with how the books turned out.

Now if the other four show up before I submit a bunch more at HeroesCon this weekend, it would be great.

Submission without pressing arrived the Friday we were at HeroesCon. 24 business days total.

Submitted six books that day at the show, all with witnessed signatures. Three books on Saturday, two on Sunday. Those were all sketch covers. My three submissions over the weekend were combined into two at CBCS, with all the sketch covers put together in one submission. Currently shows as "submitted." Friday submission shows as "processing." That happened today, so let's see how long this takes.

Modern submission just took three days to receive, grade, encapsulate and ship. Amazing!

Cheers, Zevgoli

PS. As a follow up I just found out the grade is 8.5 for Amazing Spider-Man 600. It was originally graded as 9.2 by CGC. I’m quite disappointed.

Well, I just received another email regarding the extension of the money back guarantee. So, that sounds good. However, the reason I came to this thread after receiving that email was to comment regarding my standard modern/new VSP with pressing submission received by CBCS on May 11. It has remained in "ImagingSP" since that point. The website indicates VSP should add two weeks to the process. If "ImagingSP" is strictly related to VSP I'm thinking that at least that step may not be accurate. Perhaps my books are moving along, and it is just a matter of the status not being updated. Hopefully that is the case.

I know I waited over a year for my first submission, so this submission is bound to be better. But watching my submission appear to stay in one spot for six weeks, while "guarantee" email are being sent every few weeks, is not inspiring.

My last submission had a few VSP in it as well. It stayed in imaging until it entered grading, and then it was through grading and into shipping within a few days. They don't usually update it between the VSP process and pressing, they just leave it at the imaging point until it hits grading.

just got an email saying my 4 comic submission (2 new, 2 modern) hit grading room (do have a rehold but they did that already)

so took 6 days for them to officially receive it (after submitting it at a convention) and 4 days for it to be ready to looked at

they say they had a money back garuntee it would be done in the time said (30 days) but didnt believe it till they did. I figure either get it super fast or for free

Submission with six witness signatures at HeroesCon shows as having completed grading and reached production & processing in the tracker.

Submission with five sketch covers is still in invoicing. Kind of wish the sketch covers had processed first, but I expect they are trying to stay FIFO. It is odd that they haven't even charged the card yet.

Here's how we track CBCS orders. The red column headers are the states at which they send an email, the ones between you have to catch by looking at the "Print Invoice". The only way to tell that pressing is complete is that the state goes from Pressing back to Received before it reaches Grading.

All the ones in this image are magazine orders...

I also appreciate this insight. Knowing all the possible statuses is useful. Unfortunately, I am now back to thinking VSP is going well beyond the estimated two weeks.
