@Cli4dR3D0g Man, I better not let my wife see that offer. She might end up giving me the "arsenic in the green Jell-o" treatment. 🤣🤣

It's rare that one comes up for a price I'm willing to pay. I happened to be checking ebay today and here we are $750 later

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
Went to the Super Jersey Comic Expo yesterday. Came away with some goodies.

First Captain Britain in a US comic. It's fairly beat, but that's ok because the guy threw it in for free with...

First Agatha Harkness, which he already had a very fair price on. I was going to pay for both and the guy just asked for the price of the FF. I never haggle so I'm always happy when people offer a discount.

The big draw for me was Jim Steranko. I got there when doors opened and he already had five people in line. It took half an hour for me to get up to him, and then he talked to me and the guy next to me for 45 minutes to an hour. His line was packed all day.

This one prompted him to talk about Wally Wood and then who his top 3 artists of all time are and why (Wally being one of them).

The only repeat story I heard was about how he invented the new X-Men logo, which I heard when he signed different copies of this trio previously.

No story related to this one, but I also got the print

Picked up this little Lucky the Pizza Dog print (it's around postcard sized) from Heather Antos and have a commission coming from a different artist.

Because I got a VIP ticket, I got a couple of prints from the show. If anyone happens to want them, they can have them for shipping. Not what I would put up on my wall.

The show was only a few miles from Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash. I'd never been so I went to check it out. I don't think I'll go again so I thought I should get another copy of my unofficial first comic.

Other odds and ends from the past couple weeks.

Wanted this for a while

Found out my otherwise VF-looking copy is missing the MVS, so I overreacted with some of @EbayMafia's MCS money

So I caved and sent in some moderns to the other guys. I already regret it simply because of how the Harley Quinn turned out. I'm not complaining about the grade -- it's the marks on the side. Those weren't there when I sent it in. I've posted a comparison pic for reference.

Here's the original:

As for the other books, they're fine, though I think the Wolverine #1 (1988) is a 9.8. But of course I think that, lol:

Put this at a 9.2 and it came back at 9.0. Not surprised, I think I was being too hopeful:

Had this at 9.0, so not surprised it came at 8.5:

Had this at 8.5, so pretty satisfied with that:

Got these back recently and been meaning to post them to this thread. Just some moderns I wanted to have for display purposes. Took 307 calendar days, which gives me hope I'll see my February 2022 submission in about a month (fingers crossed).

Sounds like Steranko. Was he doing the thing where he sits down, then thinks of something else to talk about and stands back up to keep talking? The man is a treasure.

I tend to think of him as the last of the Rat Pack. A guy you would love to sit next to all night at a blackjack table in Vegas.

He was up and down but at least while I was there he only sat to sign things. It was first thing in the morning so maybe he still had his energy up.
