| Our Population Report doesn’t signify any differences (yet), but Fantastic Four 110 is listed on the other guys’ Census as only having a Mark Jewelers insert. Similarly, MyComicShop also lists it as only having a Mark Jewelers insert. I just noticed that my personal copy is actually a National Diamond Sales insert, not a Mark Jewelers. So… I’m wondering if anyone out there in Forum Land could clarify for me if their copy is in fact an MJ or NDS? Seems logical there’s more out there than just mine. (Of course, that’s assuming both the Census and MCS sites are correct in calling it an MJ. I guess it’s possible they simply see an insert and just automatically assume it’s an MJ. That wouldn’t surprise me, although it would continue in the other guys’ ability to disappoint me.) Thanks for any help!! | ||

| That doesn't make sense as the Mark Jewelers inserts were sold at or near Military bases, but not to the general public and certainly not at comics retailers. Since FF 110 is not a special issue but rather part of the overall run, it is not probable that it would only be MJ inserts. | ||

| There is no Fantastic Four #110 with a Mark Jeweler’s insert. FF #136 (cover date July ‘73) would be the earliest you would find an MJI in that title. While MCS can be a great reference tool, they list dozens(hundreds?) of books as having MJI’s that have never been confirmed. CGC has made label errors in the past listing NDS as MJI and vice versa. | ||

| @jaysonslade as mentioned; the MCS MJ lists are not accurate. The MCS MJ lists are issues that were in production during the time MJ was doing the Inserts. Not every issue during that time had an MJ insert. It’s nice for reference but to be taken with a grain of salt. I don’t know for a fact, but it would make sense for MJ to base their advertising on amount of issues ordered and certain release dates to spread exposure. | ||
