| Happy Little Accident. Couple weeks ago, I put the French bread in the egg wash and got distracted. It soaked up most of the egg wash and became fully saturated and heavy. Now I double the egg wash and make it that way on purpose. Ends up being like a bread pudding, no syrup or butter needed. Very good hot but I prefer refrigerated for on-the-go breakfast. Egg wash: Eggs, milk, cinnamon, Italian Sweet Cream (control the sweetness with the cream). Bread: Fresh baked French bread sliced one or two days before to let it firm up a bit. No, I'm not eating all of this myself. Yes, they are fried in the bacon grease.  |
