16 hours later… I think it’s done. Gonna smoke another batch of peppers now. A mix of Jalapeños, Carolina Reapers, and Cherries.

I hate to rain on smoked and grilled meats but this is where I’m at on the evening. I believe I’m going to home make the Costco roll up.

If I decided to get a smoker, which one would be the best combination of versatile and rookie-proof? By versatile I mean can be used for additional purposes such as grilling?

@EbayMafia, a grill/smoker combo is perfect as far as versatility is concerned. But I smoke a lot less than I grill, so my basic vertical smoker does the job when I need it

@EbayMafia

Traditional smokers with charcoal are a pain in the butt. My buddy got a pellet smoker and has not looked back. However there are only a few pellet smokers thst can reach searing heat for grilling. You are going to be paying for that privilege.

I like the Yoder but it is also an arm and a leg on cost. (You'd have to check if it can sear) Weber announced their 2nd generation pellet grill and it can sear. Avoid 1st Gen with a shitload of issues.

My brother uses a weber Bullet type unit with thermotakes smoke remote thermometer. It's effective and results are outstanding, but baby sitting meat for hours on end is no fun. Definitely go for pellet if you pursue this type of cooking.

I think it’s been established that fruit and baked goods aren’t in my preferred tastes. With that being said, this pie has chicken in it.......

Ok. 2 and I am stuffed to the gills.
These things are great. Yeah it's not a ribeye, but damn so much better than a regular hamburger at McDonald's or BK.

My brother said he will start with 3. Yeah I'm thinking he will say because the fridge is out of commission he will need to finish them off sooner than later.....(we have a cooler with ice currently till repair guy comes)

Edit

He ordered 3 more for while he is gaming....

Lol

I dont know model number but it's a Volvo and it's a hybrid. It's less than a year old.

Nice vehicle. But not water proof. Apparently some water got in electronics and engine light came on. She got it fixed but it took 2 tries.

EDIT

Canned some Beef Stew last week in two pound jars. The way it's going, you guys better be canning food too. Beef, Chicken, Hamburger meat, Beans, Fruits etc. No refrigeration required, and last years and years. Specially since the cost of meat is going up and future supply shortages.

Looks tasty, but I abhor marshmallows.
