Robert Pattinson In A Newly Designed Suit For The Batman 218339

Robert Pattinson In A Newly Designed Suit For The Batman 2

There is a lot to appreciate about the film career of famed actor Robert Pattinson. The 36-year-old British performer came to be known to global audiences as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, but it was his role as Edward Cullen in the Twilight film series that seemed to make him a household name. Since his time in teenage angst fantasy worlds, Pattinson seems to have become quite choosy with his film roles, often taking on independent movies and serious dramas. His turn as an emo Bruce Wayne in 2022’s The Batman saw the actor in a new light, playing a detective while embodying the cape crusader look. With a possible sequel on the way, fans have begun making Pattinson’s Batman into what they envision him to look like in future installments.

With a specific look to it and a concept that screams modernization, fans have chosen to reimagine Robert Pattinson’s costume for the sequel to The Batman. In this developed fan art that has made its way onto social media, it appears that audiences may be looking for Pattinson’s costume as Batman to be a bit more stealthy. MovieWeb describes the updated costume as a more accurate portrayal of what the character looks like in the DC Comics that bear his name. One item, in particular, that should be noted on the design posted to Instagram by artist Jaxson Derr is the white eyes on Pattinson’s face and mask. This was touched on in a small portion of The Dark Knight, but the white eyes have typically been a trademark for the character in the comics. No other iterations of Batman have included the eyes, most likely because that is difficult to do on film.

According to a report by The Hollywood Report, Robert Pattinson will be back for a sequel to The Batman, which is still in development. The original film’s director, Matt Reeves, looks to be joining the sequel in directing again and will be writing the screenplay alongside Mattson Tomlin. Since the film is still in the process of casting and the script has yet to be written, it may take some time for the sequel to see the light of day. However, fans’ ideas of what the costume for Batman should look like may be noted by the filmmakers before the movie starts pre-production.

The Batman was released earlier this year to a lot of fanfare after several films that saw actor Ben Affleck in the role. Robert Pattinson took on the iconic superhero in a brooding and much darker fashion, complete with black and grey tones and a smudged makeup look on his face. The movie went on to gross over $770 million against a budget of $200 million and costarred Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, and Colin Farrell. Rotten Tomatoes currently ranks The Batman as Certified Fresh with an 85% on its Tomatometer based on 499 critics’ reviews as well as an Audience Score of 87% from over 10,000 ratings for users.

I loved it. Can't wait for the sequel. Then again it's Batman. I'll even watch the ones with nipples, I just don't take them seriously. I really enjoyed this last one.

I was favourably impressed also. Robert Pattinson showed more versatility than I had previously seen (absolutely hated that Twilight rubbish) and I'm very interested to see what else he'll bring to a sequel.

I hear ya. But you know, for everyone that doesn't like the 'reboots' or 're imaginings' or whatever you want to call them in these movies, you know that is EXACTLY what happens in comics ALL THE TIME.

For instance, this N-Metal storyline that led to The Batman Who Laughs, or that BS about the Batman in the chair you sit in and it makes you God? are you freaking kidding me? have some more LSD, writers ... Or any of the other Crazy-ass shit that some dope-addled writer decides to do to the Bat's universe?

So the same people that eat up all that fantasy BS complain about how different directors and actors portray the same character? Hogwash.

I say enjoy what you want to enjoy for the reasons you enjoy it. I choose to ignore the crap in comics and pull out the stuff I like, so why not in movies about comics, too? "Alternate Universes" "Alternate Timelines" "Multiverses" ... it's all code for "HEY I got an idea that will sell a lot of books ..." and they come and they go ... Most people won't every be exposed to those things but Movies? Movies are forever and more 'real' to the masses than comics.

The Batman was easily the best superhero movie of the last 4 years. That isn’t saying much, of course, but still a solid movie.

I think they’ll show incremental advancement in the costume. My guess is we’ll see a few more films with Pattinson. Solid actor.

Agreed, and their interpretation of Penguin and Riddler were 'logical' for the rules that were made for that movie's universe, and I look forward to seeing ANY other bad-ass Batman foe in the Pattinson world.

Like "Gotham", i LOVED "Gotham" for the same reasons. And "Pennywise", have you guys seen that? It's GREAT for the same type of reasons.

As long as he removes that bat emblem from his chest and stabs someone with it in the next film, it's fine by me.

Yawn. The previous movie was weak as a whole. I was surprised at how well Pattinson was in the role though. I just hope that they come up with a concept and story that elevates the Penguin into a very believable nasty character.

I would hate to be wearing that outfit on the bad side of town at midnight. Speed and flexibility would be very limited.

I would rather be wearing jeans and a t-shirt.

Looks pretty awesome to me! I thought the first film was good (not great), but I do see potential there. I have written this before that I thought there was both great aspects of “The Batman” and some disappointing aspects of the film. I haven’t had a chance to give it another watch yet, but I think another film is absolutely worthy of attention.

lol..very true...also why I don't buy much modern DC or Marvel...simply tired of reboot after reboot...but yes, enjoy what you enjoy. I have realized some books and indeed movies simply aren't for me any longer

Nothing wrong with that at all. I've looked back at all the stuff from the past decade and was surprised by how many movies I just don't need to see again. Not that they sucked, just that they aren't so cool that they're worth more of my time.

I thought The Dark Knight with Heath Ledger was epic. Other than the female lead being horribly mis-cast.

Absolutely. If everything else about the movie wasn't so great, she might've ruined it for me.
