Is anyone else going to Canada Fan Expo? Heading out on Wednesday for the show. Just figured out how to get my QR code through Arrivecan. The service is free but to be sure to download the app through google play or the apple store. When U used a web search I found some scsm site that wanted me to pay $79 with a credit card. It had me fooled until I did a bit more homework. |

If it was in Vancouver instead of Toronto I would definitely attend. Looks like a great event.

I went last year and I was really disappointed to be honest. Not a great deal of selection of key books and seriously overpriced by most dealers.

We'll be there and set up booth 704. We always have a lot of fun at this show and hope everyone pops over and says hi to Jim and I. |

The Fan Expo's are NOT comic shows. Oh sure, there's some comic dealers there, but that's not the focus of the event and you can tell. Sad really, at least for purists like some.

I think I've been to a couple of them, maybe three. The first one was was very entertaining, but not a lot of comic books if that's your focus. The last one I went to had far outgrown its venue and if you left the building, there was a good chance you would not be permitted back in due to occupancy limitations. The staff were also quite rude as they thought they were hot shit due to their attendance numbers. I enjoyed my time with my friends though.

My car was searched one year at the border. I was carrying several boxes of Booberry cereal up to a friend. The guard found that suspicious thinking it was a distraction for something else.

All other events are of this nature with a few comics, creators and a ton of wrestlers, actors etc. I only go because its the only place to get sketches or signatures. No T.O. for me this year spelling error - sorry tonne not your b@astard ton in the US |

Just got home after leaving my parking spot around 2:30PM yesterday. Punted on the long lines for Capullo and King as I will be seeing them at upcoming shows. Very frustrated with the celebrity signature process. When I tried to get Robert England at 5:15 Friday he was done signing for the day. I tried to get on his line first and last thing on Saturday only to be told to come back in 20 minutes and maybe I can get on the line. Second time around I told the lady "I ain't coming back". Got all of my other signatures and hit the road early. |
