| I could go either way on this. Unfortunately, we only have two short-ear-suits and that makes fora tough choice. From a purely practical standpoint, dude wants the short ears. | ||

Most bats generally do have shorter to medium length ears long more rare think there is only one species that has those I do like begins cowl alot it is more medium length in ears shorter then Keaton kilmer or Clooney  |

| @CEPubDude That is a BOSS piece of art. I also can't deny that Bat-ears long enough to impale his evil foes have their attraction. He just needs to make sure he never drops head-first and sticks himself in the ground like a lawn dart.  |

| Batman is 6’2” bare foot. In his typical footwear he is likely about 6’3” flat foot. Some of the ears are likely pushing him up to 6’8”+ with shoes and then with any normal gait he’s ducking for standard doors. More problematic is vehicle limitations. Designing any car or flying vehicle to clear the ears is inefficient. Consider (adjusting proportions) the added height is all torso-head, he is going to have a seated height equivalent to someone 7’+. I am a bit taller than Batman and some cars are already a snug fit. Obviously his “hardware” is custom but still inefficient to design for that added height. Especially high speed vehicles (cars, planes etc). I’d say the mid-length ears are best. Enough for the intimidation factor (and not looking like Hello Kitty) but still practical enough to fit the “fake-realism” of the character. I drew my profile version of Batman so I guess it reflects my bat cowl preference. |

| For me, it comes down to the artist. Tim Sale's Batman ears were super long, and I thought it was bad ass. Jim Lee and Neal Adams had them more in the "medium" range. Frank Miller (talking 1986 TDKR Miller), Jock and David Finch all draw them short. I like all of them. Kelly Jones was a bit too extreme for me. | ||
