@drchaos I also submitted a book to CGC's Todd McFarlane signing. I do not have a CGC membership but was allowed to submit. This is the only signing, or submission for that matter, that I'm aware of where CGC has allowed without an active membership. I don't think you can submit anything else, in-house signings or otherwise, without a paid membership.

@GAC I have a free CGC account, and I’ve submitted many in house signings. Dini, McFarland, Ron marz…

Signings are open to all.

Interesting! I tried to submit to another signing and received and error. I assumed it was because I didn't have a paid membership. It looks like the error I recived may just have been a technical thing.

Thanks for clarifying!!

I just sent another 4 books to be signed. I think my dumb ass sent 4 different submissions. The only good thing about that is the credit cards got hit at different times so I didn't get railed with one big bill. For some reason, I kept remembering stuff at different times. I really need to get organized.

Same. I literally waited until the last possible minute and got it sent off earlier this week. It arrived but it's not entered in the system yet.

@Bronte when I shipped all of them, it took them 3 weeks just to mark them received after ups tracking actually showed delivered.

I’m sure Covid is somehow to blame

There'll probably be a bunch of 9.8 Spawn 3-D MOCCA signed slabs i imagine.

But I'm hoping folks did not submit such an oddball like Patient Number 9 from Ozzy.

Quite happy with both for sure.

@multi007 did you write the initials on the outside of the box in big letters- I use black sharpie marker and mark each side of the box all around it-

This lets them know it’s for a signing to open quickly

So far it looks like McFarlane signed in October 5. I wonder if he went back and signed on another day….

The McFarlane CGC books are starting to roll in.
I'm sure the census will increase for the Spawn 3-D from its current 10 copies.
But I'm interested in the Patient Number 9 - I have to believe less than a handful (if that) were submitted; but maybe I'm wrong.

Side Note: Odd that these were likely plopped down in front of him in sequence and one he signed as "Todd" and the other his lazy "T."

@Nuffsaid111 I must admit, I didn’t even think about patient #9.

Had I, I would have definitely got one done.

Don’t sweat the “T”. They look great

I have multiple books submitted AFTER I had shipments "delivered" for the signing delivered being shown up on the submission page. And yes I put TM on all those boxes....

I hope they dont claim they didn't make it in time.....

@Bronte I talked to them early last week and because of the bad weather down there they were allowing more time than usual- (and they do have extra time built in)- I don’t think you have anything to worry about

@teacha777 yes. i selected pressing for all mcfarlane books. i should note that 8 out of the 13 i submitted were already slabbed graded at 9.8. but i still selected press anyway in hopes (although super slim) that i MAY get one as a 10.0

When did yours get signed? Wonder if mine is on its way I sent via my lcs.

Also there’s a chance cracking the slab could mess up the book. Higher grade is almost always worth the price YMMV

@teacha777 October 5 - Also, I trust them to crack the slab mroe than I trust myself. they have immense experience doing so - whereas I have only crack 1 case open in my entire life and was sweating bullets the entire time.

i have another one i need to crack in january in prep for a convention im going to. its a $350 book so im a bit nervous already just thinking about it.

You are not the only one. My submission was delivered to CGC on 10.31.22 and still not email confirmation.
I called and spoke with their customer service (imagine that!) and was told the signature series team is slammed with submissions and will get emails sent out when they can. She also took a moment to confirm, my submission was received. Sooooo, I suppose we have to be a bit more patient...

thanks for the update. I wanted to call to make sure mine was okay as well. That's one thing I will give CGC. The customer service is light years ahead of cbcs
