I don't understand why Netflix doesn't make money from selling old content to network television stations. Something like House of Cards which is now several years old. Seems to me that one of the network stations would pay a decent amount to be able to air it. And since all the costs were accounted for long ago, it would be 100% profit for Netflix, straight to the bottom line. Disney is going through a lot of effort to get all the old IP back in-house for sure. Farming out the old stuff might make sense but I don't know (and I doubt a streamer would say) how much rewatching it gets.
