So mcfarlane had a special comic if you bought a certain amount in his toy line. They finally shipped. Should get it Saturday. Not the first time I bought a toy for just the comic.... although the comic is sight unseen. It could be a blank cover gor all I know.....

Probably the same time as eBay did. There was a federal law passed requiring e-tailers to collect sales tax.

According to my invoices, January, 2020 was the first time I was charged Minnesota sales tax by them. In December, 2019, my orders were not taxed.

Was there a service CBCS had where you could get an item slabbed for yellow label witnessed without a grade being attached?

I vaguely remember something, but can't find any info.

I'm thinking of getting a replica comic signed by an actor...

I believe it's $20 for the ART slab for the slowest turnaround time.

@Paulbg2000 there's also 'slab only'. I don't think it's described much or at all on the website but it's an option when you create an order.

I have books I submitted earlier this year - not fast pass or express, but no pressing - that are still in receiving.

I was explained that ASP or VSP's are variable times and therefore you cannot have express grading or pressing with them since that affects the time required to fulfill the express times. Being a newbie to all this, I thank you for your response and sorry your items are also in the same limbo.

This is not true for ASP. I did an express from a con with sigs in May. Pretty sure after it hits received status the next thing is grading. With TATs where they are, I wouldn't expect a status change until Nov or Dec.

That's what I thought, but I couldn't see that option on the online order form.

Anyone know how to get threads to work on a 3D print?
This is the first thing I ever printed (free at the library) threads don't quite work...might try 101%?? for the caps? Maybe sand the threads a bit??

They catch a bit...but would like a few turns on them to really secure it

Travel container for my shave brush!!

@KatKomics I've never had this issue, but I would try a fine grit sand pad, the kind that is basically a sponge with sandpaper grit on it.

What would you value this ASM 361 at? Would you gladly pay 1/2 - 3/4 FMV or hard pass? It’s not mine just one I came across.

If buying for resale, hard pass. For personal collection I buy books with color touch regularly, regardless of availability. Just happy to get a nice discount on something that I have no plans to ever resell. Knowing that someone touched up a spot with a pen really doesn't diminish the value of ownership very much for me.

Not the type of book I collect but I’d be at 50%-60% or so of FMV and happy to have the same book as others but with some dabs of ink saving me big $…

For the PC it's a solid buy. The book looks amazing and if it's in your PC, who cares about a little colour touch? If it's for resale, then a lot will depend on the price.

From what I’ve found the flaws are in the free file. Not finishing it nicely after the fact. It is a sweet container though.

think the library one is just some sort of plastic - you're not able to swap out type or colour -but hey - it's free!!

this one wasn't too bad, the caps seem to get maybe 1 thread on? they are secure - certainly enough for travel - would just like them to screw down a bit more.

I might try going back and printing the caps at 101% to see if that helps before I sand anything - would hate to sand it down a bit then mess it up
It took 2.5 hrs for the body to print and 1hr for the 2 caps!! just start it up and come back later - lucky for me the library in town is only a 15 minute walk and it was nice today so saved a car trip!

If there weren't a blue million of those books available, perhaps. However, as it stands, no.
