Lovely! Just what everyone needs: An adrenaline rush right before having to remain seated at the arrival gate for a while. My favourite!

Does anyone know of a good sight for getting print run numbers on comic books. Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur #1 first print is one in particular I would like to get data on.

Would you sell to a buyer on Ebay that has zero feedback and has an account created date of today August 8th? I didn't want to sell and rejected an offer I would have otherwise been happy to accept, but the buyer purchased my item at the Buy it Now price. I'm going to add signature confirmation to the order since it's an apartment unless the consensus is to cancel the order.

Are comic prices retro active on CBCS slabs with the “rivet” labels? (You don’t know if you don’t ask)

I found this site today and don't know how accurate it is, but here's a link:

Far right is units sold to comic shops.

@flanders

Personally I would sell. The reason being is every one has to start sometime and since you have history with ebay, it should be in your favor if something goes wrong, especially if you take signature confirmation into consideration

Definitely a red flag. I think if you do everything by the book you should be covered.

@Bronte @EbayMafia thanks! If it goes well and I get positive feedback I'll send him some free stuff since I would've accepted $25 less if not for the feedback. I'd rather not send extras yet.

I have sold to a number of 'new' buyers and problems are extremely rare. As a rule they are a delight to work with because they want to build a reputation and get their feedback score up, so they will bend over backwards to make sure the seller liked doing business with them. Some will come back for more, too, because there are a number of sellers who won't deal with new buyers, so they'll do repeat business with sellers they know will accept them.

Fastest payouts after an auction come from buyers with massive feedback scores and buyers with tiny scores.

@EbayMafia I think the thread had too much potential to turn politcal and result in bans.

For ebay sellers, what percentage of buyer's leave you feedback? Although I ship promptly and carefully, the majority of my buyers never leave feedback. I always give positive feedback to the buyer shortly after payment, so I'm not sure why they avoid giving me positive feedback (or any feedback), despite ebay's frequent reminders.

I'd say I get maybe feedback from 50% of buyers, and that may be a little generous. I'm considering doing what a lot of sellers do, and that is withholding feedback for the buyer until I receive feedback. I'd rather not do that because it's a tad coercive, but the I-can't-be-arsed-to-leave-feedback rubbish is getting old.

Has anybody got a picture of the Harley Quinn 30th anniversary 1 shot by Cho? There is a 1:10 glow in the dark version that apparently is going to be really nice.

Has anyone ever used Collector's Comics (https://collectorscomics.com/), either as a buyer or a seller?

There's an auction ending on the 15-16th with several books I'm interested in. Thanks!

@flanders they are in San Diego. I’ve purchased directly. One of the partners met me a couple of times at a gas station off the freeway and we exchanged cash for comic books. I’ve spent a decent amount with them and have “no regerts”. Just examine the books closely. Everything I bought was CGC graded but some of the books had those undesirable flaws on them that cause them to sell for less than full grade value.

Thomas is one of the owners there.
He is a stand up guy.
Buy graded books to eliminate any potential issues.
I have bought some raw books from him over the last 5 years.
Always what he had listed as 9.8. That wasn't even a 9.2.
But he gladly refunds returned books.
He used to ship in envelopes with cardboard.
After a few lengthy chats, he started shipping in mailers.

Did anyone else dislike the MCU story arch of Wanda? They took the strongest Avenger and threw her away.

(Strongest Avenger means the only one that was capable of killing Thanos in a one on one fight as shown in End Game).

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
I wouldn't say I liked it exactly but I'm open to the general idea of having some character arcs not turn out so rosy. I think they could've handled Wanda's better but they gave it more of a try than Hawkeye's.

I don't mind shaking things up so that I, as a comics fan, don't already know the details on what's going to happen in advance just because I read the pertinent comics in The Way Back When. Depending on future plans, they may have had to do something about Wanda because she had become too powerful. Am I happy with that? Not necessarily, but I'll wait to see how things develop.

Does comic link bid extend auction duration or can you snipe?
Post 177 IP   flag post
Collector* Towmater private msg quote post Address this user
@Bronte Snipe, they don’t extend auctions. I do it all the time on art I want. Normal pattern for me is to put a low tracking bid on the item on day 1. Last day, snipe away.

@Byrdibyrd Noting what occurs in the Doctor Strange movie, I don’t think Wanda’s power level is an issue any longer.

I wish they had moved forward with her. So much that could have been developed with her training “new” Avengers and leading a new team. I really dug the character. The actress who played her allowed everyone else to shine around her while being a very steady presence in all the scenes she was in.

That would have been a dream scenario for me, too. It'd be nice if she could be brought back in some capacity. Elizabeth Olsen did a lovely job with her, especially considering what a complex character she was.
