Am I one of the few that actually enjoyed it?

I enjoyed it, but at the time it was one of the MCU's weakest offerings. That is no longer the case, especially because it was never a bad film to begin with. It just didn't break as much new ground as everything that came before it. But now we have Morbius and everything else looks pretty decent by comparison.

I've never understood the criticism of it. I enjoyed it, and it was a nicely crafted "prequel" piece to the MCU puzzle.

According to google...

What does it mean? If something tears up Jack it leaves destruction in its wake

Betty was

Betty Broderick a murderer

I'm not a 100percent on connection still though

Edit

Ok Betty was triggered by anger due to abuse. And them she killed her ex and his wife.

So is the saying something like "it tears up Jack and kills Betty"? It sounds familiar. Didn't see it in the thread about things our family used to say.

All I know is that 'tearing up Jack' can mean having a row. How Betty fits into it is beyond me.

Drwatson was who posted it. I have no real idea. I am just guessing as to what it means. I tend to take things very literally so I don't always understand what people are trying to say.

Is it just me or are Kourtney Kardashian and Tori Spelling starting to look like the same person?

I don't think it's your imagination. My guess would be that they have the same plastic surgeon, and doc may or may not realise that he has a 'signature look.'

Vote here if you’re buying fewer comics today (spending less $ on comics - not quantity) vs last year despite lower prices.

@Davethebrave
I "try" lol... to use profit from sales to fund my buying. I am not always obedient to that rationale
Sales are slower. Partly from buyers with less play money. And partly because I raised prices to compensate for taxes that will have to be paid next spring.
I do still however step outside of the aforementioned framework when a great deal presents itself.

I'm technically spending less than last year but that's due to a) last year I saved up enough to get a Hulk 181 and b) I've finally come through on my years-long promise to sell some stuff here and there to make the numbers less atrocious. So I consider myself about even.

Not sure if I want to know what that means. But I do know that ladies generally love stuffed animals....

@Bronte
That bag looks like it must have been ridiculously over-stuffed! The adhesive on the seal couldn't handle it and gave out. If you ever have to jam something into the packaging, the packaging is too small. That is not rocket science!

@Byrdibyrd

The lady shoved 2 17 inch animals into the bag. Here is what he looks like. Thankfully the bears were not soiled or damaged.

Unbelievable! If that bag is the size I think it is, that's just absurd. Such a lovely, fluffy bear! It's great they weren't damaged. Bet it would've been a different story had it been FedEx.

The bag should have been barely adequate for 1 bear. She shoved 2 in there. As for fedex, let's not get another thread locked. Lol

It's not hard to get two of those bags to stick together. The adhesive is strong and it just needs some extra tape. And yeah, let's not harp on FedEx again.

Ever buy a comic only to find out the publisher specializes in nude covers and such?

I bought a black cat cover with cat in a bikini. When I went to see about grading the book it turns out the publisher is not marvel and the cover is more risqué than I had thought upon looking at the picture more closely.

YES. Definitely run into this problem, though it wasn't me who bought the books. It was a friend who knew I liked comics and picked a couple up for me at a LCS somewhere when he was out of town. I have no doubt the covers appealed to him... He apparently didn't look past those covers and handed them off to me when he got back.

Uh... 'Thanks'...?
