| If I really like vanilla ice cream, and it's well-known that I like vanilla ice cream, and then I start an ice cream business, people are going to say the business is pro-vanilla. And I'm going to have a real tough time convincing anyone they're wrong until and unless I make a bunch of flavors. When the guy you hire to color your ice cream also posts how happy he is to be coloring vanilla ice cream on his social media, that doesn't help either. |

| @Mmanick I wasn't commenting on any particular "agenda" so much as saying that when an artist has loudly broadcast their opinion (whatever the opinion is) and then says they're making more art, it's a natural assumption that their art will reflect their opinion. It doesn't have to, of course. But if Rage Against the Machine announces a new album you can make some reasonable guesses about the themes, right? I've only watched the one video posted earlier so that's literally all I know about July, but he seems clearly anti-woke. The colorist, Eltaeb, is the same and said he's excited to be working on the anti-woke Isom. So maybe Isom will be mute on the topic but things don't seem pointed in that direction. |
