| TBH - for my 1st collection of this magnitude (1600+ books) - it has been fun. These lots are a sampling of what I am finding. I have already moved (non-Marvel) - DC, Valiant and some independant totles into my collection with a low-end conservative grading BV...about $1400.00!! I paid $1250 for 1600+ books (approx. $0.75/book)....lots of good Marvel books are still in the wings...lots of great deals are coming to the web. I win...so do others!!....lol... | Some background on the next lots I will be posting....this will be the first. After speaking with the widow of the guy who owned the collection, she told me that a flood happened in their home in the early 2000s. Based upon dates of damaged aged books - 2001/2002 seem to be the latest dates, but had thought the books were safe. All of these books had came out of this recent collection. These selections clearly show that the books had not been/were not secured. I found at least 100 magazines and comics to be in this condition, I slso intend to post at least 5 lots - all will begin at $.99 cents and are mainly geared toward restoration folks. These lots have a wide range of dates and some ARE NOT water/humidity damaged, but just worn books. Thanks for viewing my auctions.
