I know this wouldn't count for the contest and apparently, I don't own a single comic with anyone painting so much as a protest sign. This is about as close as I can get, and since I own 3 pieces used as examples in the book (and since I like showing my stuff), I'll post them here.

The first two are inks over blue-line art (the same blue-line example included in the book, only not folded), by Mike Royer and Steve Leialoha, respectively. The third is Brent Anderson's inks over his original pencils (according to Anthony Snyder).

Poor Ben. They are supposed to be a family. His so called "best" friend and smartest man in the world sends him in first to find the strongest, savage and destructive creature on the planet when there is literally a person on the team that can become invisible. No wonder the Thing is always sad.
