Got free tix so did a quick lap around the floor didn’t buy much but saw this cool item might be the only one in existence a flyer to the first ever Nirvana show that Cobain had printed. Dude said for authentication it will be scrubbed for DNA.

back. got around 30 comics today (mostly random) but oh boy. pulled the trigger on spending what I think was a steal. As mentioned I was going to look for Infinite Crisis #3 (first appearance of Jamie Reyes). found a seller who had it for $20 but he advised me to try and get #5 instead (his first appearance as Blue Beetle). He had #3 but not #5. I said I might come back for #3 if I cant find #5.

ended up buying a combo pack with all 7 issues (and conclusion issue) for $25 which came with Jim Lee cover for #5 which is the sought after as it has Blue Beetle front and center. I think that was a huge bargain (seller was asking $30. Offered $20...he countered with $25. agreed)

I felt I had to as with the movie in pre-production. Now is the time to invest in issue

But got weekend:
97 comics
2 mangas
several autographs
signed poster of rogue by her co-creator (which won a raffle from him for another poster)
lightning collection Blue Psycho Power Ranger figure
went to 3 panals (Skottie Young & Hickman panal, panal on famous movie/tv cars and their merchandising and the spiderman panal

I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for. drchaos private msg quote post Address this user
The only books I bought were the 13 books I bought from one of the dealers during setup on Thursday.

Now that the show is over I can safely say that I got more signatures than I thought possible over the last three days.

Right now I am about half way between Greensboro and Durham.

Not sure how far I will go tonight.

Goal is to get to Annapolis around noon tomorrow.

for me was oppisitte. a lot less signatures then I had planned. skottie young charges $5 a sig now (didnt make room in budget....but have plenty of signed stuff before he started charging), Roy Thomas was asking $5-$10 donation to do signatures (same)

I wanted to get Claremount but will try to next time (if he does) return to the convention to have him sign the rogue poster

@power_struggle5@power_struggle55

Thanks!

I ran myself ragged but had fun at the show.

Made it to Henderson, NC.

Shouldn't take too long to get to Annapolis tomorrow.

I agree. Anna hit this one out of the park. It was my first time meeting her, I let her pick what she wanted to draw and that is what I got. She is a super nice person and I really enjoyed talking with her. Great art as well. Check out her website. https://ann4rt.com

this past weekend was perfect. I didnt get everything I planned (or spend like planned) but got better stuff. I always save $20 for newer issues ($20 each day for $1 or less bins) turns out found a lot of the somewhat newer issues (within 6 months or so) that I still needed to get were in bargain bins so was able to free up the newer comics budget (save a couple of issues) as a result got that awesome Rogue poster signed by Michael Golden (if he does return which he has) get Clarmount to sign it next time....plus finding Infinite Crisis #3 and #5 (wanted to get since the blue beetle movie) in a complete set pack for $30 (paid $25).

I was disapointed Skottie Young did charge $5 now but he is worth it. had thought about paying it for one signature if I got Infinte Crisis #3 for $15 or $20 but who knew id get both #3 and #5 for around that

I was so exhausted after each day rolling by roller suitcase with a shoulder computer bag (used to seperate stuff signed from bought and need to get signed)

met a lot of out of towners there (who traveled out of state) to go for first time and they said they really enjoyed it
