| These two books were from the same yard sale as the rest I've posted recently. But there's some irony here, although I don't know how many of you all can relate. Issue #341 is the same three digits used to describe what I would call 'chits' when I was in AF basic training. If you did something wrong, something wasn't right with your appearance or your dorm space, the drill instructor would holler 'Give me a 341, airman!!!' in front of God and everyone. I don't know what the other branches had in their respective basic traing...I just though this was funny and ironic. Of all the things I've forgotten over the decades, that wasn't one of them. LMFAO   |

I’ve had my eye on this for quite a while, I was going to bid 52 dollars on it but I entered an extra 2, so it was 522. When I was going to hit backspace with my index finger my thumb won the race and hit the enter key. Holy crap! I was sweating bullets that an overzealous bidder might take me to the limit. Luckily I wasn’t and ended up winning it for under 90 dollars. Whew! (LOL) |

| @sportshort Oh, I hate the accidental bid. I had one once and it wasn't even me! I was looking at a book for auction when my cat, Diamondback, jumped on the keyboard, and by the time she got down, she had managed to bid an unacceptable amount for a book I wasn't sure I wanted in the first place. I won because the auction ended maybe 30 seconds later. I was a little ticked, 'cause that was back in the 90's and no one cared all that much for the book at the time. I'm just a C.C. Beck fan. Honestly, though, I can't complain now. I think I got this for $12 after Diamondback's $99 bid nearly gave me a heart attack.  |
