| This past saturday he became quite ill, urinary tract blockage. I rushed him to emergency Vterinary services and they analyzed his issue, gave him several medications and drained his system. However they refused to provide actual surgery unless I could pay 3k on the spot, 100 miles from home at 10 pm on saturday. So I brought him home ganbling he could get by till monday to see his local vet who we have worked with alot in the past. He was diagnosed as having become unblocked and capable of flushing by himself. This past week its been visting the vet twice a day to him "expressed" or his urine drained to make sure he wasnt reblocking. Sunday evening I realized he was still not doing as well as he could, and he spent alot of time resting with his face on the water dish, so monday morning we went back in and I left him there for testing and examination. They determined he was suffering from renal failure and asked to keep him there to begin treatment and to see if his kidneys would be restart on their own. So thats where he is, getting around the clock medical treatment to attempt to revive his kidneys and allow him a normal life . The last update I had from the vet, was at the end of they day yesterday, his first day staying there. He was put on an iv to make sure he is fed and hydrated, and being given various medications to assist. His first day and he was again producing some fluids, although how much is not established yet. He also was eating by closing time yesterday which is a great sign. Thats all I know for sure for now. I am keeping hope they can return his kidneys to a full enough level he can function and live a fairly normal life but time will say for sure. Meantime I have refused to give up on him So meantime I am definitely making some deals and willing to sell some books to help with things. His doctor isnt pressing me for payment, but eventually that bill will come due. |

| I'm sorry to hear that much is happening. I know he is your best buddy. I dont know how it works but you may want to create a gofundme account. As one if our own, people in our community may wish to help. After a surprise ER visit for each my dad and brother this week I am cash strapped but will still donate to the cause.         I am going to use this lot as a catchbasket for books that are rougher, lower value etc and sell them as a single lot. The lot so far contains Tales to astonish 61 1.8 ish? Tales to astonish 67 same Tales to astonish 78 same Tales to Astonish 89 5.5 Oddly the 61 and 89 each value up closer to a hundred dollars in their grade ....while the other 20 books are 20 dollar items. I am going to ask 150 for the group, less than the highest two books added are valued . If it doesnt sell I will keep adding books, without altering the price till it does. Price 150 |
