Just wondering what your experience has been with the time period from when the delivery has been confirmed by the shipping agent to when cbcs acknowledged they have it I sent a shipment in using express and tracking says they delivered a week ago so when does the 14 day tat start as they haven’t acknowledged they have it yet Thanks for your response |

Did you send to the Canadian location? Because if so the counter only start when it’s received in Texas

I sent it to the Texas location Took 9 days to get there and delivered a week ago I also sent 2 different tiers so I quess the tat will be 28 days I also became a member It seems a membership and express would be the fastest and best way to go |

I sent in a New Express submission shortly after they changed the pricing structure, and I got it back about 14 days after they received it. And by 'received' I mean when USPS dropped it off at the delivery location. Fourteen days after that, it was in the mail being sent back to me.

Submitted at a convention in Virginia on May 14th, express, but have not received the initial email yet. My question is will the email be obviously from CBCS? Don't want to miss it. First time submitting with CBCS.

My latest order was dropped off at a convention on 4/9. I didn’t get the received and payment processed emails until 5/5. On 5/12, I was notified they were in grading, and they shipped on 5/18. I received the FedEx package today. Obviously, the books were not pressed by CBCS.

Thanks for the reply, from what I gather quickly looking over forum is to be patient. So I'll wait and hopefully receive the email this week.

So rest assured, they're doing everything they can to get your books back to you within the guaranteed timeframe, including screwing over all their existing customers who paid them several months ago. |

Some were for PC others were getting hot and are long past hot now. But when you're close to a year and suddenly they introduce guaranteed fast turnarounds... it's a little discouraging. Their backlog is huge but new submissions get put in front. I don't really blame him for being frustrated. It's not like he's wrong. |

And as for taking it to CBCS... is there anyone there listening? Took weeks to get a reply to my email, but... they did reply this time. Regardless, this isn't something they'll fix even if you got ahold of them. It just is what it is. |

@Sigur_Ros I sincerely doubt my beef would serve to change overall policy, which is why I'm not going to bother to bring it up with them. I'm just going to wait it out because I know my books will come back... eventually.

At the ten month mark my books had not been pressed. I am now at eleven months and I hope my books have been pressed, but I don't want to bug Mr. Ricketts too often for updates. I am somewhat in the "wait patiently" camp currently, but the complaint about old submissions getting bumped is valid. When my slow submission books enter grading I have no idea how long it will take. However, I do know they will now take longer to be returned due to the changes that happened almost a year after my submission. There are definitely issues related to labor and supply chain that I understand are beyond the control of CBCS, but the recent TAT guarantee is a choice that CBCS made. I think that if we all wait patiently, or stew about it privately, then CBCS would have no incentive to even consider the impact of the overall policy. If enough people make noise about it, in the forum and elsewhere, then maybe it will get some attention. |

To be fair, they were always getting bumped for faster submissions. I submitted 40~ish books last July, but in the mean time did a couple 2-day submissions which took about a week each. Decided I was only going to do 2-day from now on. Well, that's gone. Now I'm at the point of waiting 'til the rest of my books come back, patiently, but if they are all scuffed like the 9 that came back a month ago, I'll probably not even renew my (more expensive) membership. This was a test run, based on CGC quality control issues, and while I like the CBCS cases and trust the grading more, CGC TATs are faster and of course have higher resale. I have a lot to think about but I am doing so quietly, aside from the occasional comments in the forum. I've never asked CS the status of an order, I just trust they're doing what they can. But yea, to see that they've revamped everything, changed tiers, guaranteed new, shorter TATs, and still no movement with my books that are on week 38 of 17... it's a bit discouraging. |

Quote:Originally Posted by Byrdibyrd Sorry, that wasn't an attack on the OP or anyone else in this thread. I was simply pointing out how much CBCS is catering toward the Express tiers (because it impacts their bottom line) so anyone using the new service has nothing to worry about. Also, I have voiced my complaints here on the forums, directly to Customer Service, and straight to Mr. Steve Borock, himself. Other than the occasional forum vet who swoops in to defend CBCS's good name, I've only gotten generic "we're working on it" responses if I get a response at all. Over the course of the past 10 month, TATs have continued to rise, communication and customer service has only has gotten worse, and yet they find the time to launch a new service further negatively impacting their existing customers. Quote:Originally Posted by Supertom Yes, this is true, and it is frustrating, especially because it impacts a number of submissions that I made last year that haven't been returned to me yet. Am I tired of waiting? Hell, yes!! On the flip side, I've used the Express tier now and it's pretty sweet. It'd be nice if they would offer to bump existing 'fast pass' submissions into this tier (or something like it) for a nominal fee. |

Regardless of intent, that is not okay. I do think this subject merits discussion, though. I like the new Express options, but they really do appear to potentially be causing delays for submissions that were paid for in good faith by people who had certain, reasonable expectations of what their money was going to do for them. Those submissions have been waiting for a long, Long time, and assuming it's all right to bump them via re-structuring isn't okay either. |

Quote:Originally Posted by HulkSmash Actually, I didn't. Most of the submissions I'm waiting on were not Fast Pass, but I did submit them before there were monster TATs, so I had a reasonable expectation of getting them back long before now. I do have a couple that are Fast Pass, and that they aren't moving very fast is irksome, but I'll survive. At least I can access my invoices again and I see that they're finished grading and moving through the system. Someday... |

We base our guaranteed TATs on when we receive them into our system. The reason for this is because if we based it on when the customer sent it off, there are far too many variables for how long the order would take to get into the hands of our receiving team and therefore actually start the grading process here.

Sent in 12 books on May 3, 5 of mine and 7 for my son. Got them back on May 18...the express options are great! I used vintage express. Just keep in mind that your submission status and or invoice status might not always keep pace with where the books are in the facility. There is some lag time. I did however receive emails from CBCS keeping me aware of where my books were in the grading process. |

@J.Haas I don't see any other option that would be reasonable. I've filled out submissions myself and had to wait a week to ship it because of weather or family obligations. Even after I ship, there are all kinds of ways parcels can lag between Point A and Point B. Obviously, the countdown starts when CBCS receives the parcel.

@J.Haas So this has changed from the TAT starting when CBCS gets the books from the courier? My last express order was well within the TAT even including the lag between delivery and the official receipt email.
