As you can see from @marsboy01 his books from last August were just graded and sent to encapsulation.
My September 2021 books are in grading now.
So unless you had an express tier, all standard 2022 tier submissions will be awhile. Like December maybe.
I have a February 2022 submission I am not expecting back anytime before Chistmas or maybe January.


there slow service is shocking. my last orders were never like this and this was only months ago before the new price hike and membership change.
i was thinking my first order should have been coming back in july not december

But now I have to get a hold of a different person and see if they can help me now. I hate this getting passed on to someone else nonsense. But hopefully i can get them fixed.

Yeah, that's a mess. Sorry you are having such a bad experience.
I have been grading with CBCS since 2017 and the worse thing I have had to deal with is the turn around times of the last 2 years. Stay on top of them and they will fix things for you.
I would certainly be making them pay for all of the damages as well as expedited shipping as you have already waited your allotment of time.

Yeah, man we are all feelin' the same pain.
I was notified yesterday that my September submission (30 moderns, grade only) were indeed graded and now moving into labels. And then they commented that my books will be another month or two before they go into shipping.....which if that is accurate, it will be approx. 11 months on that batch as they were "Received" last Sept. 12th... And that's no pressing, no signatures, just grade.
uuggh..... lol...
Oh well. Good thing is, I (like everyone else) will eventually get my books back.
So I am not even going to guess when my February 2022 submission will come back.
Nor my June 9th "Received" submission.
Most likely, 2023 before I see those books. Unless they wise up and separate the grading department into two divisions.
Division 1 for standard tier.
Division 2 for all express tiers.
Otherwise, all standard submission will continue to be line jumped by express submissions.
Wrong business model!!!!!

First Post. Hi. I've been reading all your posts for a few months now. Quite amusing at times, sometimes informative.... Same on the other guy's forum.
Submitted in the Fall to take advantage of their unique VSP process not offered elsewhere. Thought it was pretty neat.
In any event, using my handy-dandy calculator, I'll basically just go back to normal life for a long while before I see these back.
But you know what, they have been sitting in a closet for 20-30+ years, I'd rather wait and make sure they are done correctly than to complain about waiting so long.

Now my comics are shipping for 2 days not moving. I guess they will be walked here like my nyccc books and take weeks to get here. I label was made 2 days no movement.

@los2863 that means it is recieved then.. give it a day or so (depending on the speed you picked) and it will move to grading pro idea you didn't pick the pressing option. For an example I have books that were delivered Monday, marked recieved on Wednesday, grading on Thursday, (and they have 14 business days for the express pass I picked from the day they were recieved to have them graded slabbed and mailed back to me or my money back so NLT the 28th they should be shipped in theory) if you picked any other service then thst has its on Turn around time ie pressing 53 weeks, vsp (insert time here as I do not know it) these will be done first then when completed the TAT for grading starts so let's say VSP takes 15 days then your TAT for grading is at 5 you can expect the books to take roughly 20 business days or about a month factoring in weekends holidays etc..

My order is actually thru of that already (fast p’s order from September). Had a few books screened so the invoice was for the books that passed. Since Monday the books have actually progressed from Pressing, Grading, labels, heat seal, billing.
Pretty crazy, heard nothing for months and all of sudden bam!

Going to be awhile? The last time I read the pressing update they were finished with June 2021 pressing months ago. When the books were dropped off with CBCS at a convention, the TAT for pressing and grading combined was about six months. It's been twelve. What would help is if the dashboard actually was up-to-date. A year later and the invoice still shows "Received". Bobashek and I actually submitted books at the same convention so if you are wondering how his aren't done already, you could technically say the same thing about mine. ;-)

How does one find out who their rep for their area is? I have a few issues with CBCS with regards to books i received that I feel are quite serious and have gotten nowhere with customer service. Defective cases on over 50 signature series books, I'd love to get it resolved soon but the lack of customer service has really been a major letdown.

@Scifinator - Any idea how your TAT table translates to books that did not go to pressing? I submitted middle of March (approximately 80 working days ago, pre-price change) and am hoping that they will be in grading before September. Is that a legitimate expectation?

Submitted more at Megacon Orlando 2022; did the express to try it out. they're supposed to reach TX the Wednesday after the con, which would be 5/25/2022.

Just receive the notice that they've received the order today. That's 8 (I think) working days to get a 14 day TAT into "received" status. I'm fairly certain my 14 day actually begins today. As of 10:00 6/8/2022 (after my first post 6/7/2022); the express submission dropped at Orlando Megacon 2022 is in labels.

Thanks never got that email or the one announcing magazine grading even though I knew that was in the pipeline. But then again up until recently I never really would get an email regarding invoices and the various stages the books would go in, and nothing ever in the junk folder. At least lately I have been getting progress reports but its really only been on two of the six invoices worth of books, better than nothing however.

Huh..... Magazine grading starting in April 2022...

You guys in the US use the same calendar as the rest of the world yes?

I mean....you don't use the same system of measurement and your spelling is wrong....so maybe the Calendar is off too??

You guys in Canada don't seem to proofread postings before commenting on them. I wasn't talking about when magazine grading started, I was talking about the official announcement email that was sent out to everyone months ago as well as the email that was sent out with the various reps and their contact info, etc. I didn't get those emails, nor has anyone I spoke to about it.
