| Hi All, I bought this back in 1977 from Sal Buscema for the staggering price of $15.00. My question is: Is there a way to clean it? It does have some mold on it. Any help or suggestions would be greatfull.   |

| What is the intent? Sell? Keep? If selling, I’d just sell as-is. Let the buyer decide based on its condition today. If keeping, I would address the mold. That is if there is indeed mold and not just benign foxing. The two are different regardless of what some may say. I previously had access to historical archives for multi-million $ rare books. They virtually all had foxing but they were in a neutral state (not actively deteriorating). Mold is different. If alive, it spreads and that can be beyond your single page here. So if keeping this, I’d have a pro address the mold. The type of pro depends again on future intent. But if you want to pass this down or hold another 40+ years I’d address the mold and then make sure future storage is appropriate. In summary, foxing is fine just address storage conditions (reduce further oxidation risk). Gives a nice historical patina. Active mold is a greater ongoing threat if not addressed. |

| Beautiful piece. Interesting that the Griffin's feet are redrawn in every panel. Guess Buscema must have mixed up which were supposed to be boots (pre-secondary mutation) and paws (post-secondary mutation). | ||
