So long as it's not brittle, page quality is quite a ways down my list of things I look at for a book. In both OP's scenarios, I'd take the higher grade without a second thought. | ||

Unless page quality is crap, it doesn’t really matter unless you have two books same grade. Like a redone kitchen, doesn’t really increase value, but can make it more desirable. | ||
