@Jesse_O uhh a other thought wouldn't it be easier just not to tell her about everything he wants to own or keep.

If he only has 8 items listed, he won't have to pay listing fees as far as I know. 50 listings/month are free for non-store accounts.

also I tried to be honest with Ex and when we split she wanted half my books. Never showed any intrest until divorce came. Luckily, I got them all as part seperation. I was o e of the rare lucky ones.

I feel like I would draw up a document that gives one of my friends my books in the event of that. Have it notarized or something.

@Studley_Dudley wouldn't hold up in court anything you aquirred during the marriage would be subject to a 50/50 entitlement. No document would prevent that. The court sees that anything aquirred during the marriage, came from both your monies, Even if you proved that you bought it with different monies you may have aquirred on your own wouldn't matter.

@Studley_Dudley however if you can prove that you owned your books prior to the marriage they would be arguably be yours, but anything aquirred during duration of marriage would be subject to split.

For those of you that are married, get a Postnuptual agreement, or prenup if you're about to be!

When I got back into collecting I had our postnup amended to exclude any and all current/future comics from joint property.

I dont forsee ever getting divorced and hope I have my happily ever after, but hey you never know; protect your books!

So the William Shatner signed case 10 is no longer available. Did someone actually buy it for that price? 😳

@earthshaker01
Thanks for the clarification. That sounds like a raw deal if you use your money for the books and not your spouse's.

My ex took my hand picked Death of Superman saga...all books in the series, with Supes #75 signed by eight collaborators....AND all my music memorabilia, destroyed my Yamaha stereo, and swiped my all white vinyl,"The White Album" German pressing DMM. Rarity.

I don't like my ex very much.

:o)

...took me a couple of convention visits in the early 90s.

FYI....if any one ever comes across this set....in a white box that fit them all tightly....I'm willing to buy it back.... Remember...the black bag is multiple signed...all in gold ink.

It truly is a nice piece.

Thanks.

That MF is nuts. I wonder if his clientele are Middle Eastern sheiks with that oil money or European royalty.

Anyone get their offer turned down? I did something kind of similar, someone had a nice commissioned cover (Margot as Harley) and they were asking something absurd (several thousand) for it. I made a $50 offer, and after it was rejected I offered $45.

What I'm trying to say is that you should make an even lower offer after yours is rejected.

Do all of these savvy investor types comprehend there are over 5,600 signed by Stan Lee funny books listed for sale just on eBay much less any where else?

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=signed+stan+lee&_sop=16

How does one say "common as dirt" in Marvel Speak?

At 100 per sig, and in his 90's, he's sure making some serious loot for his kin when he passes. I'd pimp out my sig like that if I could!
