Off topic; fishing. Show your catch part 217499

The apple sauce and pudding were the best part... Bronte private msg quote post Address this user
I don't know anything about boats, but a 454 engine is like a freaking bus sized engine.

I thought fishing was driving to a location and sitting still? If you are only going in spurts wouldn't the fuel consumption be minimal?

Lake Erie is big. It depends on where you fish and where you are willing to go but I’ve been on 45 minute one way rides. I understand what you mean about friends, hell we sat around and drank beer after, but when you go out there it’s for meat. I catch and release quite often, but Erie isn’t the place for it.

So I have stopped fishing till we get rain. Fish are under enough stress with the low water. I kid not when I say we haven't had a significant rain in over 2 weeks. Anyone still able to go where they are?

Water levels in the ponds that I fish in RI and MA are okay. Want to hear something strange? In the last three weeks, I was in a boat where someone caught a bullfrog while fishing for largemouth bass in lily pads. The first was caught on a jig that landed over some overhanging bushes - the frog leaped up and grabbed it! The second two were on plastic frogs - bullfrogs are not only territorial, but cannibals too! Here’s the one I caught last week in Thompson Pond, Spencer, MA.

They got bigger with each catch this morning haha.

That bush in background hangs over a rock shelf just under water at the beginning of the lake there. Can always pull some bass from it. They were loving leech streamers today.

Looks like that fish grew in each picture.

Well nothing to write home about. Weather hasn’t been great so haven’t been about to actually shore fish. But found out this pic was snuck when I was able to fish off the dock the other day.

Nothing like a top water hit sir, nice catch. These little guys were my go-to for topwater. Extremely versatile, sit and twitch, or trolling worked well

I never had much top water love. If there was a little wind I would have luck with a buzz bait but thats about it. I would always set the hook when I saw the bite, way too early.

Thought I posted this already but apparently not. No major luck. Weather played a factor except a day or two. Just pigfish, pinfish, and lizard fish.
