'Venom 3' Teased During Sony's Closing CinemaCon Reel![]() It what is not shocking Sony teased a third Venom movie today. The first two films, which starred Tom Hardy as the Marvel spider-antihero have collectively grossed $1.4 billion at the global box office to date. Plus, it was the briefest of teases: just the pic’s logo in a closing sizzle reel. No talent attachments were revealed. The last movie, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, was released in October, scored the second-best opening of the pandemic and second best ever for October with $90M stateside. This was all before Sony’s own Spider-Man: No Way Home notched the second biggest debut ever in U.S./Canada with $260.1M. Venom: Let There Be Carnage grossed $213.55M, and $502M worldwide. |

probably title will be Venon: Lethal Protector I hope they dont go with another syboite villian. We did have Shriek in Let there be Carnage. But she played second fiddle to Carnage. I hope they dont do Knull. He'd probably be a good villain and final villain. but I want something besides venom facing a stronger evil symboite. Just cant think of any. They could take a spiderman villain (or any marvel one) that hasnt been used. |

With the tease finally introducing Holland into Venom’s world I do hope we get to see Spider-Man in the black costume and Venom FINALLY get his spider-emblem. Some stories I think would be interesting but likely won’t see would be something along the lines of Separation Anxiety or The Hunger where Brock has to stand on his own and regain control of the symbiote, but I think they played with that in Let there be Carnage already. For non-symbiote villains I’d love to see them bring in the Sin Eater but I think the movies have been so big and bombastic that the Sin Eater may be too…mundane, for lack of a better term, for audience’s expectations. Still bring in Spider-Man and do something of a hybrid of the Death of Jean De Wolff and the Venom: Sinner Takes All storylines and we could have something interesting. They could also introduce the Jury and have them hunt Venom almost like the Hulk being hunted by the military and then introduce Phage, the symbiote eater, as final, greater threat. |
