Sleepwalker in Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness ?17427

Collector GanaSoth private msg quote post Address this user
There are rumors that Sleepwalker will appear in the new movie, Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness. What do you guys think?
If you watch the trailer to the movie it starts out with Strange saying "Every night, I dream the same dream." The movie is about the multiverse, dimensions opening, and allowing things to come through into our reality. If you guys recall, Sleepwalker is a being from a different dimension called the Mindscape. This would be a perfect opportunity to bring him into the MCU.

If you haven't watched the Trailer yet, here is the link:

In my opinion, it's too late to speculate on this character. Chances are it will be a 1 time appearing character. I can't see it being extended in multiple films considering how much the net is already cast.

I get tired of speculating on the MCU stuff, personally. They do what they want to do and a lot of spec books are just left to hopes and dead conversation. I hope we do see MANY characters from this movie. The Spiderman movie kinda gave us jack shit in regards to new characters. That rift in the sky offered very little.

Isn't every Marvel first appearance speculated on in some way? Like, if everything is a key, then is anything a key?

I kid, somewhat...

Truthfully, I can see Sleepwalker coming in at some point. Marvel has tons of characters to cherry pick from. However the character strikes me as more built for TV. But you've linked to the toy so a possible cameo in the film. I know I read some issues when I was younger but I don't remember much, if any, of it. Anything is possible with the MCU.

Whenever there is a rumor of a movie appearance, and I can get a book for $20/$30, I just buy it.

I look at it this way - if I'm wrong, I can always re-sell the book for roughly the same amount. Yes I'd take a hit of maybe $5 or $10 but I don't care. It's a cup of Starbucks coffee.
What I don't want is a $20/$30 going up to $200/$300 as I have seen before due to my inactivity.

So I look at the risk (max $10 loss) vs. the reward (significant increase) and make a decision to purchase the book.

That's just me.
Tired of losing out on all the "it's just a rumor" that actually came to pass.

I picked up the #1 and the anthology a couple months ago, like Nuffsaid111 says, bet hedging is a good thing. I like the variety anyway.

Never say never. D'Spayre is in that wave too so grab your Marvel Team-Up 68. On the flip side the No Way Home wave had Armadillo as the BAF, Morlun, and Miles Morales. The Shang-Chi wave had figures who weren't in the movie. Agree with others that it doesn't hurt to get a book cheap but I wouldn't guess he's in the movie.

This movie could be convoluted AF with that 2hr8min runtime.

I'm still annoyed by the Strange/Spider-man scene in Far From Home where he was casting the spell.

"Stop bothering me you are going to mess up the spell..." Ugghhh. Are we going to get more of that?

Concurrent to the basement hoarder thread...
...I have a newsstand Sleepwalker 1 that will hit 9.6 or 9.8 once I press n sub it....sitting on the top of a stack of books in my basement.

Paid about 5 to 10 cents for it. In a long box bulk buy, probably around 25 years ago.

What does suck is that if buying long boxes in bulk,it's not so easy to get copper dealer dead dealer stock anymore...at least, good titles.

Sleepwalker was one of the titles that I culled out of Kong box bulk buys, as it was pretty short, low demand at the time and seemed like it'd be worth something years down the line and full sets of Marvel/DC turkey were generally good for at keast $1/book + shipping even back than ie if complete, I would have sold it for around $70...good thing I never completed that run.

@Studley_Dudley - The word key has little to no meaning it seems. When Darkhawk and Sleepwalker are considered KEYS, there’s issues in the collecting world.

All I know is that all of these "Key" books that I couldn't give away a few years ago are selling for good money now.

Thank you speculators and rumor collectors

That FOMO is spreading like wildfire.

True. I was at a con this weekend and someone was trying to sell Nfl Superpro at an inflated price because it's a 1st app key. I promptly walked out of that booth.
