Has this ever happened to you? Strange FedEx situation17424

I hear their hourly rate is outrageous! sportshort private msg quote post Address this user
So This afternoon at about 12:04 p.m. I looked at my phone and saw that I received an email from FexEx at 12:00 p.m. telling me that a package was just delivered. I went out to look and didn't see anything. So of course the first thing that came to mind was, did someone steal it. I looked at my phone again and confirmed that the email had just come in a few minutes ago. I looked harder around the area, in the bushes in front of the garage, nothing. Then (I know this is stupid) I looked at the email again and confirmed that it had been dropped of "at front door" and I looked again behind a couple of items, knowing I was not going to find it. Then I walked over to my neighbors house and looked at at their front door (I could see it from the sidewalk) because I've had packages dropped of there before. Bupkis! I started coming to grips that my comics were gone and that I was going to have to call FedEx on Monday and argue with them and end up loosing since no signature was (apparently) required. Then I had a realy stupid thought. Is it possible that the FedEx employee might had scanned the package and entered the info assuming he was going to drop it off at my front door. I went out to look again and sure enough, there was the box. This seems weird to me, is this how things are now? No signature, no knock/doorbell, and letting me know the books were out there yet they weren't.

I’ve had this happen for every delivery service except Amazon.

Amazon doesn’t follow instructions but it seems their delivery notification is tied to submitting the photo of the delivery itself?

I have cameras and I often get notifications before physical delivery. The worst offender is USPS.

FedEx has done this to me. It'll be scanned as delivered but then I would get the package a couple hours later or the next day. FedEx also likes to hail Mary my packages from the bottom of the stairs. USPS still signs for me which is irritating but the post office delivers late to me so I'm usually home when my fine ass mail carrier comes by.

I had the FedEx guy deliver a book at my neighbors and the last I looked the tracker still said delayed.

I've had two really bad experiences with UPS. I ordered a PS5 from Sony a couple months ago. It got lost in their warehouse near Atlanta. Took me two weeks to get Sony to send a replacement. The second was when I ordered my new scanner. The UPS guy left it by my mailbox in the wet grass at 10:30 PM. My daughter texted me the next day it was out there. This occurred after it had rained for three days and the ground was soaked. I sent it back to Amazon and they sent another one. Both situations were resolved but it was an inconvenience.

I have some issues with USPS too. They like to cram comic mailers in my mailbox. I've also had documents that say "Do Not Bend", of course they bent them.

My regular FedEx guy is pretty good. I had to go to Colorado for about a week. I had a comic shipment coming. I talked to my delivery guy and he gave me one of those "Sorry We Missed You" forms. He told me to sign it and leave it at the front door. My kids were able to get my books with no hassle.

Overall I prefer FedEx for all my shipping. They cost a little bit more but I like the service I have always received from them.

I hate my USPO. The latest was my dad's medication was sent one day delivery from a town about an hour away. My post office held it an extra day before delivery just because they could. Next time I will drive over to the pharmacy and pick it up myself.

Never had something marked as delivered early. I did receive two boxes from FedEx this week, both dropped off without getting the signature they should have. I also got a UPS delivery that I think was supposed to have a signature but did not. My USPS people are pretty good though, never had an issue with them delivering something or skipping a signature (aside from when they said they would within the past couple years).

It really doesn't matter if its USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc... It comes down to the integrity of the individual working for any of those said companies.

Had this happen to me a couple of months ago with FedEx. I got on the phone with FedEx to complain and tell them how I work from home and no one set off my front cameras etc. While I was on the phone, the package was delivered. I could only assume that the driver scanned before making the delivery.

Anywho, hope you got your package.

Happened to me, get on the phone asap. Called FedEx, and call the shipper. I had same situation with an iPad Pro. I had to send a certified letter to the executive office demanding proper research. Since all trucks have GPS, they were able to determine the iPad was delivered to the wrong address. My money was refunded and I reordered another ipad. Having a doorbell camera helps should you need to sue somebody. 😁

only thing close was I live in an apartment building. USPS will usually leave them by your mailbox area and maybe your door depending on driver, amazon will usually leave at your door. i had a fedex package (copy of the new wwe game on ps4). it said delivered at door. went to look. nothing. checked mailbox area (and inside)...nothing. went to leasing office (packages used to be dropped off there). they said no.

began thinking lost, stolen....turns out. they didnt tell me whole story. They are currently remodeling the leasing office. till its finished theyve been using an unrented loft apartment (2 floors with 2nd floor being the bedroom). it has two doors. One leading to outside and one leading to the hallway (2nd floor door). they left it at the indoor door

I get USPS marked delivered and then show up next day; I get marked “in lockbox” and I get no key. Everyone else delivers to my door and I just wait for the doorbell camera to go off…
