So Marvel threw a big of fit over Manara's Spider Woman cover, but it's okay to have Spidey put a something up his ass on the cover???

I wonder if this will actually make it to distribution. I imagine this will attract a lot of attention in the next month or 2. I have a few preordered.

Unknown. But I ordered a couple for this reason alone. I figure it's good for a laugh if it isn't recalled

I’m not a fan of crassness or contrivance. This cover wins the daily double. It’s garbage. But it’s garbage that we are talking about. So I guess that was the plan all along.

Where's his Bat-package? Byrdibyrd private msg quote post Address this user
While the cover is a bit much and definitely in poor taste if certain elements in it are intentional, but there are also a non-trivial number of Spidey covers with him swingin' on a web that looks suspiciously like he's got his hands on his business and taking a wee. Spider-Man is no stranger to shenanigans on his covers, even if this one does look like maybe it's exploring the location of that line that it shouldn't be crossing.

I only know of two people that would even use that term. Brendan Fraser and now you.

@flanders I guess I’m not as opposed to crassness as I claim to be. At least in the right place and context.

Well what else are you going to call it? And the taint is unisex, too!

Certainly not the first time a cover artist has tried to sneak that theme in...
