I've been thinking a lot lately about the top books that are likely going to increase in value (but that are still reasonably priced). Here's my list of books (several of which I have graded from CBCS).

- Conan the Barbarian #1
- Amazing Spider-Man #300
- Ultimate Fallout #4
- Something is Killing the Children #1
- Batman Beyond (Limited) #1
- Swamp Thing #37 (Vol. 2)
- Conan the Barbarian #23
- Savage She-Hulk #1
- Saga #1
- Young Avengers #1
- New Mutants #98
- Thor #337
- All New Marvel Now! Point One #1
- Usagi Yojimbo #1
- Detective Comics #880
- Thor #1
- Iron Man #282
- Marvel Super-Heroes Winter Special 1991
- Batman #6 (New 52)
- X-Men #4

I also listed them all on my blog if you're interested. https://thenerdhoard.com/key-comics-to-invest-in-2022/

Would love to hear your thoughts about my picks (or see your own lists).

Oh man! Completely forgot about that one! Super solid pick (I actually bought Strange Academy #1 when it first came out and then sold it a few months later. Kicking myself now! Very cool book. Thanks for the add, Bronte!

I simplify it by buying any silver, copper or bronze first appearance that I think is a good deal. I recently picked up Moon Knight 14, Doorway to Nightmare 1, Luke Cage, Power Man 24, and Daredevil 18.
I figure a wide net is best. I don’t sell them yet but it’s nice to know when the news comes out I likely have one.

I don't want to brag, but cashiers are always checking me out. power_struggle55 private msg quote post Address this user
good list. have the possibility of getting a valuable comic or 2 or 3 (as stated in a few discussions) but always looking out for ideas. Ultimate fallout #4, New mutants #98 and amazing spider-man #300 were on my short list

But Id add amazing spider-man #365 due to the new spiderverse movie, Edge of spider-verse 2 (since Spider-Gwen aka Ghost spider is super popular)

personal level. Id add Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #9 (first appearance of Lord Drakkon) and Saban's Go Go Power Rangers #8 (first appearance of Ranger Slayer). Power Rangers' popularity has skyrocketed recently as its considered nestalgic. The comics are a big reason why. those two characters are very popular right now. Value may or may not change. But with netflix taking over control and plan on darker series for the future. Power Rangers stock might be high

I'd start looking at un-used X-Men characters. I can't see MCU using the same team we've seen over and over again when they fold them back in.

@the420bandito Totally agree. Especially female X-Men. Dazzler, Jubilee, etc. I don't think you can go wrong with owning the entire Claremont Uncanny run. Brood, Morlocks, Mr. Sinister, Inferno, Wolverine vs. Sabretooth -- tons of story potential there.

Lots of good choices. A lot I'd add as solid potential, but I'll point out one that's more of an "entry-level" investment: Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 3, #4 (first appearance of Silk).
