I would assume that legally any plan that was signed up prior to the change that was supposed to include those perks would have to be honored.

I think it’s about time they got rid of the $250 and even the $400 FMV limits for tiers. I filled out an “old” form yesterday for 5 SA books that fell into the now eliminated Quickstream tier at $52 each. They would now be considered Vintage Express and cost $54 each with guaranteed 14 day TAT. So only $10 more for the five books. Looking closer, the shipping, handling, and insurance under the old pricing was $35, but unless I am reading the charts wrong, the new cost would be $30 for s&h, but insurance would be another $48 on top of that! So it would go from $35 to $78, an increase of $43, and cost nearly $16 per book for shipping and insurance alone. That’s more than double what it used to be - holy bat crap! That seems excessive.
And if you look at the printable invoice form, ASP is still listed at $5, with VSP at $30 for the first signature, and $25 for each addition.

@quick1unc

Write the coupons on the packing list / invoice of your submission and you should be good to go. Just remember not to mix tiers unless you want to wait fir the slowest book on your list to be for the ENTIRE order and not just that book.

I also have all my rapid vouchers to use. Of course, who is to say what "rapid" is anymore.
Would be bad if they just wiped all that away from people. I would be more upset over the 2-day, but thankfully I just used mine a few weeks ago.

This is a question for customer service, unless someone from staff is willing to reply here...

Right? After touting them in an email with the price increase that happens on a date?

I know. I got some raws that are valuable even ungraded. Like secret wars #8 signed by shooter, zeck and Beatty. Edge of spiderverse #2 signed by latour, rico and renzi. by the cost to get those signed...maybe not worth it.

The whole hobby is going up in cost. I don't think there is any way around that. More power to those that can self fund their comics with sales. I don't know how they do it though....

@HotKeyComics - I 100% agree. I suspect they are doing this so as to have a direct comparison to cgc. Perhaps they feel they will eat their lunch with it and the Guarantees.

And a price increase for that luxury of waiting that long.
Yep - TAT issue was definitely resolved. Clearly.

When I mentioned that I believe CBCS needs to raise prices in previous post I didn't mean they should raise prices plus increase turnaround times from 32 weeks to a minimum of 45 weeks. It does deter people from sending in low value books though, which is something that I do agree needs to be addressed. Now I'll only be sending in books at the express level that are worth a minimum of $250 instead of sending in a high volume of books worth less than $250 with a grade screen.

This could actually work to eventually reduce turnaround for the slowest tier since I expect the volume of books being submitted will drop. It's not bad that a lot of dreck we see being graded, my own stuff included, will stay in a box where they belong.

@Nuffsaid111 @flanders - I suspect that there are a couple of things at work here. A - they have heard the set the expectation crowd and B - They are expecting an onslaught of Magazine submissions and Express, X Plus and Super X, submissions, so again see A.

Or, it could be that the CBCS staffer converting Weeks to Days miscalculated 7 days per week as opposed to 5 day work weeks.

I’m thoroughly confused now.

I added a comic, selected “express” and “press” it’s shows “processed within 57 weeks after receipt”, I unselect “express” it shows 73 weeks. It does not give me an option for “express press” is that included when I select express for grading or is “express press” exclusive to “club members”??
Post 91 IP   flag post
I'd like to say I still turned out alright, but that would be a lie. flanders private msg quote post Address this user
@HulkSmash I'd give it a couple weeks to submit anything. By then all the kinks may be worked out. A modern submission at the lowest tier says processed within 18 weeks which isn't even remotely accurate. Or is it!?!?

Just sent another e-mail to 'customer service' and the Canada Rep.

Fast pass cuts time in half yes?

Express Press is slightly less but not much less time than what the old fast press was for $22 more but Express grading is 200+ days faster for only $20 more!!!!

How do I upgrade my order from fast pass to express!!!!
I'll pay the $20 -hell - I'll pay the full $40

Leave the fast press as is - CBCS has had the book since Nov 2021 - so it is likely another 3 or 4 months from pressing - puts me July..August for grading?

21-3F268A9

Since 'customer service' is just an automated e-mail server that can't help - and reps aren't much better I'll take any info from 'company' men on the boards!!!

This really looks bad on CBCS for not having their stuff together on Day 1. Broken links/non-existent links, just a complete cluster F...it reminds me of when they launched this site. Lots of hype and then when it launched it was a dud.

Also what's up with the "guarantee turnaround" time? There are no details about it in the Terms & Condition.

@50AE_DE

I agree with most of what you posted. But the guarantee TAT seemed to me the only thing that was cut and dry. It's finished or they refund your grading fee. What else was I missing?

@Bronte I found the part about turnaround time, but the link is broken and doesn't give any more information. I couldn't find where they said it was a money back guarantee.

"All Express, Express Plus, and Super Express are guaranteed to ship back within the time stated, or your grading fees are refunded.

Click here for details."

Just curious as to what conditions must be met in order to get grading fees refunded if they don't hit the targeted turnaround time.

To be honest,I wish they dedicated one customer service person to man the forums and social media outlets for like a full month during launch to answer questions.
