I saw it. The design was ass but worked for the grim and gritty look they were going for.

It's a grounded look...influenced on the Zodiac killer I'd say..not a comic book look but it works for the film.....you can't have a guy covered in questions marks if you want a realistic, serious film.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't influenced by anything but the Zodiac killer. The Cyphers too.

I think it was one of the best interpretations of batman. Bruce Wayne basically died in the alley with his parents. "Bruce Wayne" at this time is just a skin suit for Batman. He does evolve a little during the movie and definitely by the end. I'm always reminded by the one story of grant Morrison where Alfred reminds Bruce that he has been in the suit so long, that he forgot what it is like to basically be human or Bruce Wayne. Alfred reminds him in an ear bud conversation that he is talking like batman during a gallery event. Batman is best when he toes that emotional line between almost being no better than his rogues gallery. This movie did capture all of these elements.

It was too long, very dark (which was ok), never saw sun light and was always raining.

Loved the movie, loved the character (Dano's portrayal kicked ass) but I wasn't a huge fan of the mask in particular. I understand its role in the plot, etc. Riddler's best moment was post-unmasking anyways. Maybe the Riddler saga isn't over and we'll get to see Dano wear the green cap someday.

I think the guise fits the character, really well portrayed by Paul Dano, in this film.

Well...moving forward with the character, what would be the point of wearing the mask now that his identity is exposed? I don't think he would bother.

Huh, Catwoman gets a form fitting leather outfit with pussy ears. The Riddler loos like a turtle colored condom that works with radioactivity. Interesting.

My thinking exactly. Makes sense that the costume for the sake of an origin story is different from the more developed form of the character that has existed in comics for decades. If Riddler returns in subsequent films, which hasn't necessarily been ruled out, then I think this costume will be a thing of the past.

I didn't like the outfit when I first saw the trailer, but after seeing the movie I thought it fit the movie. I think if the Riddler had the comic book version of the costume then the complete feel of the movie would have been pretty corny, like the Jim Carey version of the Riddler.
