Meeting Lou Ferrigno tomorrow17057

Collector Darkseid_of_town private msg quote post Address this user
Just found out Lou Ferrigno is appearing at a local con I will be attending. He is apparently charging 40 for an autograph.I doubt there will be anyone present to do witness signing submissions ...but if you just want a book or picture signed by Lou I can try. Sort of a hail mary but if you send the fee by paypal between now and when I see him I will be getting a few copies of each of the books shown...I hope.

My paypal is thundercrackerx2@aol.com Forty dollars seems cheap, but we are a small out of the way show so he is likely charging less in hopes of gaining more sale.

These are a few of the books I am considering taking to get signed. I will try to let anyone who opts to pay and buy one get first choice....I plan to be there at ten AM central and spend a few hours so time is limited

I plan to buy a photo op with lou and signnature deal so I will be able to provide proof I did meet him for those wanting it.

Here is the convention I am going to. If you choose to buy a signature from me try and specify if you want a picture chosen from his table or a boook signed from my selections I am taking and perhaps which if I can arrange that

So cool of you to offer this to forum. Personally I can't stand being in crowds so I depend on folks like you that are kind enough to do this for others.

I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for. drchaos private msg quote post Address this user
Lou charges $40 for autographed photos.

If you want him to sign comics be prepared for some sticker shock.

I went and hung out at the bar where Wizard World Dallas was taking place years ago. First thing I saw when I walked in was Lou and Peter Mayhew sitting at a booth together. I knew it wasn't cool to bother them there so I left them be. When they got up to leave, though, these two guys were walking in as they were walking out. I thought their eyes were going to pop out of their head. After they had walked out, one made the motion of how big one was and how tall the other was as their mouths hung open.

Me and ol Lou used to party together. He wasn't aware of it, but I saw him across the room a couple times.

As Chaos said above, this went sideways the minute I got to Lou Ferrigno's table. I told the woman handler I wanted to have a picture op and four comics signed and she demanded 440 dollars. Apparently the people handling the con had posted autographs 40 dollars, and failed to mention if you brought your own items it was 100 a hit, like Chaos said above.

I had fished a wad of twenties out of my pocket and then put it back away and was getting ready to just walk, and changed my mind. I went up and bought a signed book, and photo op at a hundred. Shoved the rest of the money back in my pocket. I was standing there watching Lou sign the book and he asked...how much money I put away....I said another hundred, I had planned to spend 240 with him when I came. He said how many books for the other hundred, and I said I needed two more, for the two guys who asked me to do that for them.....when I said two he said alright, I will do it. I got the feeling Lou seems pretty smart, he knew I wasnt buying enough books to go on a selling spree and saw a chance to get that other hundred by signing two more items.
he took time and signed very nicely on all the books and did my picture op just as I had wanted, good atttude, smiling and really good about it all. We shook hands, I said thank you and was on my way.

this was my book I chose to get signed. I chose it to go along with my real hulk 1, signed by Kirby.

If the autograph rates are expensively high, I'd go all in with one comic book - the rarest one I could get.

If you don't have something rare, find one for sale on the dealers room floor and buy it!
You are at a comic con after all!

Definitely this ^^...

There's a ton of "private signings" happening at CGC all the time for premium prices, yet the same "CGC Signature Verified" books can be had on ebay for half the price.

Many times though, people just want the experience of watching the celebrity sign their piece.
