| Watched it this morning. For the most part I liked it. It definitely had more of a detective story and film noir vibe that I was picking up. Still plenty of action. If I had a criticism, it would be why is every Batman villain in film some grand agent of chaos? It seems like that has been the thing for a while now. | ||

| I saw it last night. I liked it. As others have said it is very much a detective movie. It seemed to drag a little in the middle but, all in all, I thought it was well done. Pattinson played Batman fine although he was kind of a one-trick pony: brooding through the whole movie (I know that many will say that that is typical of a DC movie). Given what Batman was experiencing, though, and the short amount of time that the movie covers that would make sense. I really liked Zöe Kravitz as Selina Kyle and I thought John Turturro gave Carmine Falcone a creepy, threatening vibe. As has been noted so many times, Colin Farrell is unrecognizable as the Penguin. He looks and acts quite a bit like Robert DeNiro. I honestly feel like this will be one of those movies that I like more each time I watch it. |

| I loved it. Them ditching any attempt at comic book goofiness and putting out a much more realistic and human Batman was the way to go imho. I felt like Zoe was channeling Halle's attempt with much more realism as well, but I definitely felt like she was inspired by her portrayal. Turturro stole every single scene he was in. Just absolutely amazing. Patterson was way better than I expected him to be when he was first announced. Very solid actor. |
