Nope
and a single montage trailer for: Batman, Flash, Black Adam and Aquaman 2....2022 DC films.

I saw it at a local draft house so, thank gawd, there were only a few local ads and not 30 minutes of trailers.

Watched it this morning. For the most part I liked it. It definitely had more of a detective story and film noir vibe that I was picking up. Still plenty of action. If I had a criticism, it would be why is every Batman villain in film some grand agent of chaos? It seems like that has been the thing for a while now.

Umm, you must be a huge Black Widow fan? I've read your comment twice and can't keep up with such a high highfalutin critique. It is a super hero genre film, so a bit of suspended reality is required.
As this is supposed to be "no spoilers", i can only say that your comment re: Bats showing no effect from taking rounds is not accurate.

I saw it last night. I liked it. As others have said it is very much a detective movie. It seemed to drag a little in the middle but, all in all, I thought it was well done.

Pattinson played Batman fine although he was kind of a one-trick pony: brooding through the whole movie (I know that many will say that that is typical of a DC movie). Given what Batman was experiencing, though, and the short amount of time that the movie covers that would make sense.

I really liked Zöe Kravitz as Selina Kyle and I thought John Turturro gave Carmine Falcone a creepy, threatening vibe. As has been noted so many times, Colin Farrell is unrecognizable as the Penguin. He looks and acts quite a bit like Robert DeNiro.

I honestly feel like this will be one of those movies that I like more each time I watch it.

Thoughts on box office results? Very strong IMO especially for the length, tone, and the fact that it was the first film in a franchise reboot. Numbers:

Domestic: $128.5M
Worldwide: $249M

Very strong indeed even if we weren't in a covid world.

Happy it's doing well. Next weekends tally is important....shouldn't have a massive drop hopefully.

I really liked the look, tone and feel of the film. Visually it felt like a Batman...dark and moody.

I really hope Freeze is in the next one.

The good thing about Batman is there are plenty of villains to pick from for a sequel. Don't even need to stick with the usual suspects. Anarky, KGBeast, Calendar Man, Ventriloquist, etc.

I liked it. One of the few superhero movies where the hero makes a real-world attempt to grapple with what he's doing. I'm curious where a sequel will go.

Oh thank goodness - for a minute there I thought we might be done with the anti-intellectual Joe Rogan-ization of men from times past, but here's a big sigh of relief that they're still going strong! Whew! Interesting phrase: "suspended reality"...(?) is that when all reality stops? Maybe you're looking for "suspension of disbelief"...oh sorry...is that too "high highfalutin'" for you? Also, is that really a spoiler, to let everyone know that....wait for it...Batman survives all the way to the end of the film!!!!!! So sorry - SPOILER ALERT!! Yes, it's true: Time Warner actually enjoys the profitable IP known as Batman, and has decided to keep him alive for yet another 1,000 years...wow...serious spoiler, man. Bummer.

Everyone else on this thread has been so good with just stating their opinions and not ripping anyone else's to shreds. Why are you singling me out? I can't stand that someone's opinion is automatically invalidated just because it doesn't 100% fully agree with another person's opinion. I've watched every single Marvel movie and enjoyed them all (to varying degrees), so I think my "suspended reality" is not the issue here; it's not that I don't like superhero movies...I just don't like EVERY superhero movie..is that OK with you, "capnfatz" (a seriously high highfalutin' name as ever I have heard)? Obviously not.

Update on the box office numbers I gave before, as Sunday numbers surpassed expectations:

Domestic: $134M
Worldwide: $258M

A definitive winner for Warner Bros. and IMO proof that the DC franchise is still an incredibly valuable IP whether people like it or not.

Haven’t seen it yet but excited to. Consensus seems to be that Pattinson did a fantastic job, cementing his reputation as one of the best young actors around. I was skeptical on him nailing the aesthetic but that is only a small part (and Keaton was in the same position).

2022 is going to be a real make-or-break year for the DC movie universe. Successful Flash and Black Adam movies, along with a successful Aquaman sequel, would really bode well for the future.

To be clear, I don't care if DC creates a Marvel-type universe. In fact, I'd really rather that they didn't. I just want to see them put many of my favorite characters (the not-so-mainstream characters) in well-done movies. Raise your hand if you ever expected to see Dr. Fate in a big-budget, live-action movie. I didn't but I'm pumped that I'll see him soon.

I am a little bummed about the making of "The Batman" but only because for years I've envisioned a movie very similar to this but staring the Spectre. Jim Corrigan would do the detective work that was done in "The Batman" and his alter ego the Spectre would dish out the judgement and vengeance. A very dark movie, very detective and vengeance oriented. But now it's been made. ☹

I loved it. Them ditching any attempt at comic book goofiness and putting out a much more realistic and human Batman was the way to go imho. I felt like Zoe was channeling Halle's attempt with much more realism as well, but I definitely felt like she was inspired by her portrayal.
Turturro stole every single scene he was in. Just absolutely amazing.
Patterson was way better than I expected him to be when he was first announced. Very solid actor.

@ticktocktyler no, it isn’t.

Explain why you think it is relevant and your guesstimate of impact. Maybe you’ll see why it isn’t meaningful to any comparison. Or maybe I’ll change my mind.

@Davethebrave I think it is meaningful in that it shows demand for the movie was so strong that some theatres were able to charge an opening weekend premium of $1.50. What's probably more important, the theatre owners (industry experts) were able to anticipate this demand...most likely from early reviews and feedback. That's probably what @ticktocktyler was trying to say.
