Hey guys! I decided to send one of my comics to the William Shatner signing. I have never done anything like this before. I looked and there really weren't any special instructions for the actual comic, so I guess I'll just send this in a new poly bag and backing board? I'll use one of my Gemini mailers.. Is this the correct protocol? |

I could be mistaken but I think you need to create a window bag. (A bag that has a cut out for where signature goes.)

Bronte: I have heard about this technique .... but there were no instructions on the CBCS page for the Shatner signing. I also checked around the website...

lots of youtube tutorials. just make sure the comic isn't in the bag when you cut it and leave lots of space.

Check through the event info and see if you need to put anything on the backing board. For writer/artist signings you need to put your name, email, invoice number for the book, and the name of the person whose signature you want. Don't know if it's different for an actor signing, but I'd recommend taking a look. Welcome to the forum!! |

Mission accomplished! Should I write a “Thanks, Bill!” On the tape? |

Only if it's a felt tip pen and won't dent the book....

And use a u-line double wall cardboard literature shipping box, not a genini....Gemini boxes are pretty thin and easily damaged. Finally, have CBCS press the book after the signing, prior to grading. |
