Is there any concern of these being easier to steal? I often worry about separating my most valuable, which may make them easier to target in case of a thief.

I write "dollar bin" and "readers" on my boxes of slabs. Throws those criminal types off the scent

@TheRealMrFreeze A strategist after my own heart. If you write "giveaway" on the best box you will know which one to grab in a fire.

If you are worried about theft, just insure your collection.

Are these safe to stack?

I would say that I would be okay with one on top of the other but there is no way I would do a 3 tier. While the plastic could prolly withstand 2 maybe even 3 on it, I don't like the idea of the books getting knocked over or dropping as some of my slabs have value. However, the plastic is extremely rigid and sturdy. Cardboard is of no comparison to it.

Finally got one done. Overall, I am happy with it. I will show some photos of the process as well.

@BrianGreensnips - Looks great (and so shiny)! Have you tried to sell any of your sheet metal boxes at comic book shows?

A couple times I have. I also traded some with a comic book show friend for some comic books.

I remember reading recently (but I can't recall where) that BCW revised their grading comic bins and the reason was to "accommodate the revised cases from CBCS and CGC". If anything I would think the existing BCW graded boxes would be fine since the slabs get slightly shorter when they were updated (correct me if I am wrong about that though). For example the CBCS revised case that debuted back in July 2020 is that one slightly shorter in height than the case it replaced? If anyone has heard of this news, let me know, as I was thinking about buying some of these graded bins but if there is a revised version, how would one tell if its the revised style or the previous style?

@GAC Thanks!!!! I built 3 of these on the weekend. Only issue was the amount of tape on the rolls from dollarama is criminal. So make sure to get a couple for each box.

I want to get some of the BCW bins (and I will at some point) but this simple idea works for me for now.

@Ramage23 I have a Pittsburgh lock hammer that helps make the seams really smooth. Maybe this box will be up for sale. Not sure yet.

$7 each when purchased in a batch of 10 on Amazon.

This is what I use and these are even a bit sturdier IMHO than the CGC branded boxes.

For those looking for the BCW Graded Comic Book Bins, the best price I could find was Exchange Collectibles in Nevada via their website. They are on backorder which is the case if you went through BCW directly or pretty much everywhere else. I got my order in while they were $175 for the 5-pack, but Exchange recently raised their price to $185 but that includes free shipping and no sales tax. It's one of the best prices out there, their customer service has been great as well. Link is below if anyone is interested:
