I have a Submariner #45 double-cover that I think would grade in the 6.0 to 8.0 range. Is it worth grading? I think this is an otherwise unremarkable book. Single-cover issues don't have much value. Opinions, gentlemen. Also would trade if anyone interested. ![]() |

Naw. But definitely keep for the coolness factor of having a double cover.

For what its worth, I have bought a book solely because it's a double cover a couple of times....

I just sold a raw Simpsons Comics and Stories 1 Approx NM for $200. People will pay a premium for them!

I would put it in the grading pile if it were mine; simply due to the double cover

I don't own a double cover so I'd trade you for it ![]() |

@MrNotSoNice I love double covers and I would snap up a double cover Sub-Mariner in a heartbeat. I'm not the only one willing to buy books like that. If it were mine, I would slab it. I'm getting ready to send out a Star Wars #102 with a double cover right now, in fact.

The only problem with slabbing a double cover is that the true FMV still remains somewhat unclear. Unlike single cover books which have a well-established market value once they receive a grade.
