Candied ginger is freakin' excellent (I take some with me when I fly because it can help with nausea, and given the 'quality' of airline food, sometimes I could use the help). I'd love to try it in a jam.

Those are delicious (your wife has good taste) and they come in some pretty good non-original flavours, too. Mango and Coffee are two faves, but Lychee is yummy, too.

You may already know this trick but peeling ginger root is most easily done with a spoon.

Thanks for the tip! I like natural remedies for things like nausea, so ginger is a go-to.

Yeah. I for some reason dont like real lemons but lemon cake from nothing bundt cakes is divine just so dang expensive. I'm hoping these are as good. Next visit I'm going hunting for them.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the lemon itself, though the scent is lovely. I don't even like it in my iced tea. Lemon cake or lemon meringue, however...
