whats nice with lentils is

hot dogs

cut them up small and add them to the lentils with onions diced

@beastboy1980 how did you come by this recipe,.. or was it just an experiment?

Health enthusiasts and body builders also flock to lentils. Very nutritious and packed with protein.

LOL... Well, I do hope to stick around a while longer. But I can tell you right now,... old (I mean upper middle age) sucks.

I have so many injuries from exercise and combat martial arts,.. it can be depressing at times, especially during the cold months.

You just mentally deal with it and keep moving forward.

Taco Tuesday. White fish tacos on homemade masa tortilla, corn, tomatoes and hot sauce.

The masa tortillas are a little time consuming but flavor / health mix is great.

Less healthy is that I’m drinking a tequila sour with it…

There are a few here that are in more top shape. @Davethebrave comes to mind. There are some others.

Also, I don't do heavy weights. I do light weights attached to resistance bands.

@DrWatson Damn, if I ate what you post on this thread, I'd have to workout twice a day. And what you post looks absolutely delicious.

And buttered and grilled buns is the only way to go.

Sounds great! But how do you prepare coconut jasmine rice?

Is this a packaged product, or is there a recipe?

Seriously, I'm interested.

I'm sure there's a way to do this from scratch, but I use this 'cause I'm a big ol' cheater in the kitchen:

This stuff is freakin' delicious and often sold out, so whenever I happen to see it, I grab a couple.

2 cups jasmine rice
1 (400 ml) can coconut milk
1 + 1/2 cups of water
1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1 teaspoon granulated sugar, or to taste
1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped (optional for garnish)

In a medium sized pot, rinse the jasmine rice several times until the water runs clear. Drain any excess water and add the coconut milk, water, salt and sugar. On high heat, allow the mixture to boil. Once it starts to boil, turn the heat down to low and cook covered for 20 minutes. Uncover and continue to cook for 5 minutes. Fluff and serve. Garnish with some chopped cilantro.

Correct. That's exactly what I used. I cheat on flavored rice like that too. Can pick up for anywhere for 1-2 bucks. Quicker and cheaper than making yourself.

Some say “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.”

In my house, we say “when your Shipt shopper ignores directions and selects bananas that are already on the wrong side of ripe and now, just a few days after ordering those couple of bunches, you have several over-ripened bananas, make banana bread.”
