Hi - I read that Beckett partnered with CBCS for comic book grading and autograph authentication. (i guess CBCS does the grading of the book after Beckett authenticates the autograph?) I cant find the online form to submit my books (two). Do I submit them to Beckett? or to CBCS? Im a noob here - so any help is appreciated. Thanks Anthony |

Just click Start Submission here: https://www.cbcscomics.com/submission-form and it will walk you through the process. Signature verification is on the form.

@multi007 Most likely you are looking at getting your books back in about 8 months after submission. You didn't ask, but it's important to go into it with those expectations.

@multi007 There is. Check out the Newbie's Guide. It explains Fast Pass and the various grading tiers that come with faster turnaround times. They do cost extra, so that's the tradeoff

Thanks. I’m on a budget so it’s going to have to be the regular service.

I know everyone here has helped you...another suggestion. go to a comic convention. fill out the form (if they are there) and pay. thats what I did for my 1 submssion (plan on doing 3 or 4 more in june) you can also pay to hire a witness to watch you get comics signed been waiting since early nov. but its worth it. fast pass is great to get an early turnaround if you hate waiting. but can be expensive |

Yes that’s a great idea but I also have autographs on the cover that need to be certified.

Otherwise you add one more opportunities where errors can be introduced. For example if someone makes a typo while transcribing the handwritten form into the system or if there is an issue you won't have an invoice number to refer to your order by until the books are received. Even if what you might actually submit could end up changing, create an invoice with everything you are considering, print it out, and if that changes then strike them out or add them on by hand at the table before you hand your books off |

I know they are all 100% (got them signed at a convention over the years) but they need to be authenticated CGC does grade comics with unauthenticated signatures not affecting the grade (will be noted on slab) but its the same price if you were getting 3 signatures authenticated.....plus cgc has been going down lately |

Quote:Originally Posted by power_struggle55 I'm not sure how you're working the math out on that one. Grading (standard modern) + Verification of 3 signatures with CBCS comes to a total of $73. Standard Modern at CGC is $24 and there is no additional fee for getting a Qualified label. Are you looking at CGC's Standard Tier at $80? That really wouldn't be required unless the book had an FMV of over $1000. If that were the case then the cost at CBCS would rise to at least $100 |

Problem is - CGC has not partnered with an autograph authentication company (well known and respected like Beckett or PSA). I wanted autograph authenticated AND graded. Which is why im going with CBCS.

I have a whole bin of signed books I need to get in. I didn't want to waste time finding a witness a con's so I heard cbcs did verification, so that's the story on how I ended up here lol

thing is I have 2 (or 3) valuable issues all signed. do I want to pay cheap to get them graded but not authenticated (they are legit since I saw them) or go extra mile and pay the extra doh and get them authenticated cbcs is known for many many issues also |
