 Thought I would open a thread in memory of Jack the King Kirby who died 28 years ago today sadly. I think everyone should leave the favorite comic here that he did in his memory. My choice is simple enough.  |

| In my opinion, Jack Kirby's history is synonymous with all of comics history. He was there at the beginning until the 1990s. The single most important creator of all time. The most prolific creator of high quality characters and story. I love all his books and the world is richer for having him in it. His influence on the artform will forever be felt and his contribution immeasurable. The man stood head and shoulders above giants in the industry. The King indeed.  |

There was a dynamic scale to Kirby's art that is missing these days. An inspiration to so many artists and yet so few have ever managed to capture the power of his work. Mister Miracle is one of my favourites of his. |
