How Are You Spending Your Tax Return?16806

COLLECTOR dielinfinite private msg quote post Address this user
Tax returns are starting to go out! How are you planning or already have spent your return?

I’m trying to pace myself a little but I’ve ordered a copy of the Planetary Omnibus and the Gotham by Gaslight Deluxe Edition. I’ve also gone a little overboard with omnibuses recently though technically not from my tax return. I am however planning to get a new pair of glasses since I’m long overdue

@Studley_Dudley I'm excited to see the Bengals in action too.

As for my tax return, it will go to my annual car insurance cost. Just because I live in a major city, the insurance companies think they can charge me 2 and a half times as much as when I lived outside the city.

Fixing the family minivan. Also sending in about 100 books for grading. I have a bunch of signed books I want graded and a few of them cleaned and pressed.

I don’t know latest govt spending plans but you can likely find write-ups online.

Edit: “misread” title, thought it was asking how my taxes are being / were spent.

I don’t get $ from just filing a return (would be nice!) and don’t tend to get “refunds” on my taxes paid. So rest is not applicable.

I haven't done my taxes yet but typically my federal refund covers my state tax owed (or vice versa, I don't remember).

It's not a refund. It's the return of your money that you loaned the government interest free.

And no, I don't tick any of the appropriate boxes to get a refund.

my LCS has an ASM 300 CGC 9.4 for $1200.

Pay debt or ASM 300, I just can't decide.

I'm guessing I'll set a bit aside in my savings account, make an extra payment on a balance transfer, throw some in one of my retirement accounts, and maybe buy some drek from Doug Sulipa or Bob Storms.

You guys do know that a tax return is a payment back to you for what you overpaid the government, right? The correct return is zero. Otherwise you're paying big brother for nothing and receiving zero interest on your own money.

I will likely owe money, as IIRC the last couple of years I had to pay about $20. I prefer not to loan money out to incompetent strangers without receiving interest.

The 3 comic book series on my list to acquire are: Neonomicon, Providence, and Hellblazer.

I'm also probably going to buy one of those brand new Sig Sauer P365XL Spectre Comp pistols.

Almost forgot! Ordered these with my state return

First comic appearance of Livewire

Got these two at a great price. Not perfect, condition-wise, but it beats paying 2-3 times what I did
