| I'm probably in the minority here and I don't expect others to have slab-only books but I'll put up the thread and see what happens. Slab-Only: What is it? The slab-only option is meant as a low-cost way to get your unwitnessed signatures verified if you're not particularly interested in the grade.        |

| @GAC I really wish Slab-Only would be extended to unsigned and witnessed signatures. For the latter, at least, I don’t see an obstacle anymore since all signed books now use a yellow label. I know I’d use it for my well-loved but otherwise worthless books from when I was a kid. For this one, I went with the ART label since the artist pulled out the staples without informing me first. It was super strange because this was the third commission he’s done for me, all wraparounds, but this was the only time he pulled staples   |

| @dielinfinite Agreed! The slab-only option is perfect for those low priced, signed books. The value of those books are in the signature and not the grade. It's a great option that I wish more people knew about. | ||

| @GAC Unfortunately CBCS did a terrible job unveiling it. They basically just said “new slab-only option” with a couple of pictures but no mention of the benefits or restrictions. Even the website has nothing but pricing info. The fact that Slab-Only books are missing from the population report tells me not many people at CBCS know about it either. I had to bug Darryl for weeks to get specifics when I wrote up the guide This was a rough sketch before a blank cover commission  |

 One of my favourite sketches, Dr. Strange by Charles Vess, is too big. Same for my Bean Bandit by Ken'ichi Sonoda. I may be good to go for my Dio by Hirohiko Araki, but it remains to be seen if CBCS will authenticate a traditional Japanese signature. |

| Generally speaking it's the art that generates value, so you can throw price guides out the window if that's your goal. If turn around times are your sole motivation, paying extra for fast pass is a better option if it is an actual comic book in my opinion. |
